Working within Global Risk Management (GRM), the Senior Manager Product Owner (PO) contributes to the overall success of Global Operational Risk (GOR) by ensuring technology solutions, processes, digital enhancements, and change management strategies are successfully delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. This role ensures that all activities conducted are following governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Lead the design, development and delivery of Operational Risk technology solutions that meet business objectives.
- Gather and refine specifications and requirements received from Program Owners, aligned with the Operational Risk Management Framework and Program Standards.
- Perform any necessary data mapping and document information flows to support specific business requirements.
- Manage the product roadmap for GOR processes acting as a bridge between Business and Technology partners, prioritizing and balancing BAU activities, regulatory commitments, technical debt, and enhancements to ensure product delivery within scope and on time.
- Oversee technology deliverables and actively engage in scrum ceremonies, validating that the requirements and acceptance criteria are achieved per user expectations, seeking formal business acceptance and sign-off for completed work with respective stakeholders.
- Actively participate in enterprise PO and Tech forums to collaborate planning and prioritization activities to enable technology changes.
- Design and manage administrative documentation and procedures for user access and application support. Ensure internal support processes are understood, documented, validated, updated, and communicated to key stakeholders.
- Recommend, develop and manage improvements that will increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes.
- Develop and manage key performance indicators for the timeliness and effectiveness of technology enhancements.
- Provide ongoing user support through thorough review of production instances, identification of interim solutions, definition of essential design modifications, and prioritization of recommendations to enhance user experience and optimize end-to-end customer processes.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and a minimum of 7+ year’s relevant functional and/or technical experience
- Fluency in Spanish is an asset.
- 7-10 years of solid understanding and working experience of systems development techniques (e.g., Waterfall & hybrid and/or full Agile), including requirements/user story specification and testing methodologies.
- 7-10 years of experience in leading requirements gathering sessions with business stakeholders, documenting detailed requirements, and conducting requirements review sessions with business and technology partners.
- 5+ years experience with Operational Risk/Governance Risk Compliance (GRC) platforms and Program Standards, and their application in judicious decision-making, is strongly desired.
- Awareness of regulatory requirements and industry best practices in operational risk.
- Effective communication and presentation skills complemented by solid problem-solving skills.
- Growth mindset with intellectual curiosity, proactiveness and passion for continuous learning
- Solid interpersonal skills with the ability to build strategic relationships and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to present complex information in a simplified way to various audiences.
- 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing end-to-end customer processes, identifying barriers and solutions.
