The Senior Manager leads and oversees Global HR Product Technology Solutions Portfolio ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Accountable for the implementation, sustainment, and ongoing suitability of the HR Product Technology Solutions in the Payroll portfolio. This role oversees technology features to ensure data accuracy, operational excellence, and compliance with regulatory requirements, manages complex technology enablement and provides people leadership to the team.
Is this role right for you? In this role you wil:
- Lead and drive a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Act as a subject matter expert on HCM Technology, specializing in Payroll; resolve escalated or high-risk issues and concerns as required
- Own and enable the multi-year roadmap for their portfolio, SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central Payroll, including product backlog management, prioritization, and deployment of new capabilities based on business value, technical feasibility, and organizational impact.
- Develop and lead a cross-functional team driving continuous learning, consultative expertise, and a customer-first culture that enhances stakeholder engagement and maximizes the value of enterprise capabilities and relationships.
- Oversee Payroll product ownership execution, establishing priorities, managing capacity, and dynamically aligning initiatives to ensure timely delivery, optimal throughput, and consistent service excellence.
- Partner with Product Owners, Global HR Operations, Global Rewards, Total Rewards Solution, Talent COEs, IT as well as Vendors to deliver releases and enhancements, including requirements alignment, testing, incident management, and timely resolution of technical issues
- Lead execution of global expansion initiatives, ensuring requirements align to Global HR objectives and Platform standards, and keeping key external stakeholders connected to critical initiatives.
- Evaluate existing policies, procedures, and processes to identify improvement opportunities and implement enhancements
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Create an environment in which their team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Technology, Business, or a related field
- Hands-on technical and operational experience with HR processes, policies, regulations, and enabling HR Product Technology Solutions
- Proven experience leading and implementing SAP HCM technology solutions
- Demonstrated product ownership capability, including backlog management, prioritization, and value-based delivery
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop talent, build high-performing teams, and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills, with experience applying design thinking to solution delivery
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities, timelines, and deliverables
- Spanish language proficiency is considered an asset
