Purpose
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Manager, Product Owner, Global Product Onboarding Platform – Digital Channels to lead and oversee product onboarding across Global and LATAM markets. In this role, you will ensure that digital capabilities, business strategies, and operational plans are delivered in alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and Scotiabank’s digital transformation priorities.

You will partner with crossfunctional teams to define product roadmaps, drive enhancements for ScotiaConnect Digital Channels, champion customer experience, and enable seamless execution through Agile delivery.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead onboarding of GTB products for Digital Channels across global and LATAM regions.
  • Drive a customerfocused culture, fostering strong client relationships and leveraging enterprise capabilities.
  • Partner with GTB product owners and Business Banking segments (Small Business, Commercial, Corporate) to deliver core ScotiaConnect Digital Channel capabilities.
  • Define and maintain product vision and roadmap aligned with GTB and enterprise priorities.
  • Collaborate with Product, Technology, and UX teams to design seamless end‑to‑end digital experiences.
  • Translate business needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation.
  • Break down epics into actionable requirements and support grooming, estimation, and sprint planning.
  • Review and approve development work prior to production release.
  • Manage and prioritize the product backlog, adapting to changing business needs.
  • Facilitate meaningful user testing and integrate customer feedback into product improvements.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to define system/process requirements and change‑management plans.
  • Ensure clear, accessible communication across diverse audiences and stakeholder groups.
  • Leverage market research and industry insights to inform product direction and innovation.
  • Embed the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite into daily decisions.
  • Maintain effective controls for operational, AML/ATF, sanctions, and conduct risk.
  • Promote adherence to Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles.
  • Foster an inclusive, high‑performance culture with a strong coaching mindset.
  • Communicate vision, values, and strategy to enable team success.
  • Lead succession planning, development, and talent growth across the team.
  • Build a digital‑first culture that prioritizes customer and business needs.

 

What You'll Bring:

  • 7–10+ years of experience in product management, digital channels, onboarding, digital banking, or related areas within financial services or a complex corporate environment.
  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Professional training in Agile methodologies, product management, design thinking, or digital transformation is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading digital product launches, onboarding programs, or platform modernization initiatives across multiple regions or business segments.
  • Hands-on experience working in Agile environments, with a proven ability to write user stories, manage backlogs, and partner closely with technology teams.
  • Strong background in transaction banking, digital cash management, or online banking platforms is an asset.
  • Experience supporting change management, system implementations, and process optimization initiatives at scale.
  • Proven track record of navigating complex stakeholder environments, influencing decision-making, and communicating effectively with executive‑level partners.
  • Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) or equivalent product certification is required or strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of AML, KYC, NIRA, and onboarding compliance frameworks within a regulated environment.
  • Fluency in Spanish (written and verbal) is an asset due to LATAM market support.
  • Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
