Purpose
The Senior Manager, Pricing Analytics Enablement for Global Transaction Banking (GTB) Analytics is a technical role responsible for building and scaling the GTB analytics ecosystem with primary focus on GTB Pricing across Payments and Receivables products. This role oversees the design, development, and governance of the scalable analytics data model, analytical models and self-serve capabilities that empower GTB teams to make timely, trusted, and data-driven decisions.
The role partners closely with Business Intelligence teams within GTB Analytics team as well as global GTB Pricing team to ensure analytics solutions are resilient, compliant, and aligned to GTB growth strategy. The incumbent will support global pricing strategies to drive revenue optimization. This highly technical role requires expert knowledge of banking products, data practices, analytical methodologies. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical, financial and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate effectively across a broad audience, including Scotiabank executives. Leadership capabilities and deep knowledge of GTB products and services are essential.
What You'll Do
- Lead data and analytical workstreams and ongoing pricing initiatives in collaboration with GTB Special Pricing Group, product teams, and other stakeholders
- Own pricing data assets and Microsoft Power BI reports, which serve as the primary tools for pricing activity analytics and benefit tracking.
- Act as a center of excellence for GTB pricing analytics, providing governance, guidance, and support for all pricing data.
- Driving a customer focused culture throughout the team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Execute the GTB analytics enablement strategy, in alignment with GTB business priorities while championing modern data practices that support GTB’s need for timely insights, operational monitoring, predictive analytics, and governance.
- Partner with Technology to co-deliver the modernization effort of GTB’s data landscape, including cloud migration, data governance framework and practices like metadata management, automated data quality checks, and data observability.
- Collaborate with enterprise data office to embed strong data governance, lineage, and quality controls to maintain trusted, well-documented GTB data assets.
- Work closely with Business Intelligence and Advanced Analytics teams within GTB Analytics to enable operational dashboards and advanced analytics like forecasting, Gen-AI integration.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Consistently ‘does the right thing’ to keep the Bank safe and fosters a culture where their team, colleagues, customers, and stakeholders can speak up / raise concerns, by listening and responding in a timely manner.
What You'll Bring:
- Minimum of 2-4 years in data and analytics engineering, analytics engineering, or related fields
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, etc.);
- Strong interpersonal skills to develop collaborative working relationship with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge in modern data architecture principles (cloud data warehouses, streaming, orchestration frameworks)
- Good communication, and stakeholder management skills
Working Conditions:
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
- Environment is high pressure, complex, fast-paced
- Frequent ad-hoc requests from senior officers
- Tight deadlines and unplanned operating problems are expected at this level
- Limited travel internationally
