Purpose

Reporting to the Director, Head of Business Solutions & Transformation, the Senior Manager, Process Optimization supports the ATC Team  with successful delivery of the Accelerate the Close (ATC) Program through process documentation, governance, & reporting. The role ensures Finance processes, controls, and governance frameworks are well documented, sustainable, and aligned with the Bank's risk management standards while providing transparency and accountability across the ATC portfolio.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Lead the documentation and maintenance of business processes, operating procedures, controls, governance artifacts, operating models, and close playbooks.
• Establish and maintain documentation standards, repositories, and governance practices to ensure consistency, sustainability, and audit readiness.
• Identify process improvement, standardization, and automation opportunities across Finance processes.
• Support program planning, milestone tracking, dependency management, and stakeholder engagement across the ATC portfolio.
• Support budget tracking, resource planning, and benefits realization activities.
• Contribute to the preparation of executive presentations, governance materials, and communications that clearly articulate program objectives, progress, risks, and outcomes.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and compliance with Scotiabank's values and risk management standards.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 5-7 years of experience in Program Management, Business Process Management, Transformation Delivery, or a related field.
• Strong experience documenting business processes, controls, operating models, and governance frameworks.
• Experience supporting large-scale, cross-functional transformation initiatives in a complex and regulated environment.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, Jira, Power BI, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of accounting, financial close, financial reporting, controls, and finance transformation practices is an asset.
• Professional designations such as CPA, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, CBAP, or MBA are considered assets.
