Leads the development and ongoing management of Pricing Analytics capabilities to support Commercial Bank’s Pricing Platform – Precision Lender. Working in conjunction with the Pricing Strategy and Product Owner, the Senior Manager, Pricing Analytics Planning will analyze key performance indicators and support the strategic implementation of pricing and revenue enhancement strategies as well as growth roadmap for planning pricing enhancements. The individual exhibits a high degree of flexibility and is able to effectively manage numerous competing priorities.


•    Support the Commercial Bank Pricing Modernization Initiative 
o    Participate in the development of data architecture for Commercial Bank to support the successful deployment and long-term growth of Precision Lender. 
o    Work collaboratively with the pricing strategy and product owner and Commercial business line to plan and forecast revenue targets and profitability.
o    Ensure data architecture encompasses all business lines and segments for Commercial Bank, including but not limited to important pricing data dimensions related to customers, transactions, rates, and products
o    Represent Commercial Business line in cross-functional initiatives including but not limited to transaction monitoring, Precision Lender development and enterprise data governance 
o    Learn the business strategy and generate ideas for insightful analytic tools

•    Supports the development of pricing analytics data infrastructure to enhance pricing capabilities
o    Perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements to pricing and valuation methodologies
o    Ensure all critical data elements built in pricing platform are built and well understood including but not limited to products, credit structure, relevant commercial pricing parameters, funding curves etc.
o    Support the development of robust commercial pricing models; clearly understanding the inputs and outputs from the models 
o    Performing and reviewing optimization scenarios and developing recommendations that support changes to customer segment level pricing strategies
o    Monitor pricing performance in order to develop and refine pricing strategies and models to stay competitive within Commercial Banking
o    Perform comparative competitive analysis, including market research, data mining, business intelligence, and valuation comps

•    Identify and review key performance indicators and analyze the effects on pricing:
o    Work closely with and support the Finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, budgets and forecasts to optimize revenue, market share, and profitability across the Commercial Bank
o    Support the reporting initiative by developing pricing performance management, KPIs and reporting processes/tools
o    Identifying information gaps to support financial analysis
o    Ensuring pricing analytics and reporting capabilities meet stakeholder needs
o    Supporting the development of the required tools and reports to inform the continuous improvement of pricing and product analytics going forward
•    Support the development of robust pricing strategies and models
o    Supporting the design and development of statistical modeling by identifying the key metrics and performance indicators necessary for modeling enhancements
o    Providing business knowledge to validate model form and elasticity curve parameters through scenario testing
-    Ensuring all relevant data elements are captured and readily available for analysis and management reporting purposes

•    Manage key stakeholder relationships in support of pricing initiatives
o    Works collaboratively with key stakeholders including Analytics, Pricing, Credit Solutions, Client Measurement, Treasury, Capital Management and Salesforce to ensure appropriate data infrastructure is in place 
o    Work with technology and other relevant stakeholders to ensure data infrastructure developed is consistent with the overall technology/data vision for the bank
o    Proactively support various pricing stakeholders on initiatives and ad-hoc analysis

•    Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

•    Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct. 

•    Builds a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team. Develops team expertise in data engineering and strong analytics capabilities

Educational Requirements:

-    Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or relevant experience 
-    Master’s degree in Computer Science/Analytics – preferred


-    Minimum of 5+ years of analytics experience
-    5+ years of data engineering and software experience
-    5+ years of experience in Pricing. Strong pricing methodological knowledge including quantification of customer value and price elasticity
-    Excellent analytical skills. Must be able to source and interpret data, perform analyses and make informed recommendations. 
-    Detailed experience in the following: Unix, Mainframe, SQL, SAS, Python, other programming tools
-    Enjoy discovering and learning new technologies
-    Experience with large data sets
-    Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Power BI


-    Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
-    Strong prioritizing, analytical, presentation, project management and planning skills
-    Experience and familiarity with analytic processes and fact-based decision making, including statistical modeling. 
-    Effective strategic thinking, organizational know-how and influencing skills are critical for success
-    High degree of knowledge of commercial products and profit drivers 
-    The role requires a high degree of collaboration across wide ranging groups: AML, Enterprise Data Office, Commercial Banking areas. Works with various partners using influence and negotiation skills to ensure objectives are met.
-    Strong technical skills in Math, Computer Science or related fields
-    Excellent design and delivery capabilities
