Scotiabank’s Global Technology Solutions (GTS), Solutions Integration & Delivery (SI&D) organization is rooted in understanding our Scotiabank business lines and technologies and collaborating with our global CIOs and business lines to deliver high quality, reliable enterprise solutions in an agile and cost-effective manner while complying to the bank’s security standards and policies.
The role:
You will provide technical expertise in Platform Integration and Data Analysis, spanning voice and e-communications regulatory recording field.
If necessary, parts of engagement may require work outside of regular business hours and participation in on-call coverage. Occasional travel may be required.
- You embrace working with vendors and internal partners to engineer reliable and cost-effective solutions that effectively address business and technology needs that are up to Scotiabank’s security, architectural, resiliency & accuracy standards.
- You are keen on working with the Regulatory Business Initiatives group, Internal Controls Group, SI&D Service Management Leads and Vendors to define the scope, intake and building of integrations with various communication platforms, analytic project enablement and automation of testing.
- You can provide engineering support for project deployment and operational teams in implementing new solutions and feature(s) via documentation, test plans, support in escalations and on-call.
- You will develop knowledge of compliance supervision policies, relative to the trading businesses.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?
- You possess excellent communication (verbal/written) skills in English & the same in Spanish is an asset. Furthermore, you also have strong interpersonal skills to interact & build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
- You have at least 10+ years of progressive technical working experience in an Engineering role.
- You can demonstrate a good understanding of electronic communication technologies (e.g., voice, video, text, email) and enabling platforms (e.g., identity management, analytics and monitoring, API-based integration and capture/recording).
- You have at last 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with scripting (Python, PowerShell & other languages and platforms)
- You can demonstrate a technical understanding of a hybrid architecture [mostly SaaS and partly On-Prem] and integrations between SaaS and on-premise infrastructure.
- You possess the capability to architect or engineer solutions, and work with business and architecture boards for approval.
- You are analytical & possess leadership character traits.
- Completion of a post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, related field of study or relevant working experience.

- While we currently work remotely from home, when required to be onsite, our primary location in Toronto is:
- Located steps from TTC’s King 504 streetcar stop, which gets you to TTC’s Line 1 subway stops at King or St. Andrew stations, and its connection to GO Transit/VIA Rail hub at Union Station. Also located steps from TTC’s 511 Bathurst streetcar stop, which is a transfer point from TTC’s Line 2 subway stop at Bathurst station.
