The Senior Manager, Performance Insights & Gap Analysis is responsible for driving actionable insights across retail channels (e.g., CC, VAT, and Branch) by identifying performance gaps, analyzing trends (internal and external), and enabling leadership decisions. This role partners with cross-functional teams to uncover systemic issues and provide executive-ready recommendations that drive growth in primary clients and earnings.

- Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
- Channel-Specific Gap Identification
- Partner with cross-functional teams to monitor performance metrics across channels (e.g., CC, VAT, and Branch).
- Identify underperforming channels, product segments, or advisor groups and surface conversion gaps.
- Conduct root-cause analysis to determine drivers of performance shortfalls and recommend corrective actions.
- Cross-Channel Performance Insights
- Compare performance across channels (e.g., CC vs. VAT vs. Branch) to identify systemic issues and best-practice variances.
- Develop frameworks for benchmarking and share insights to optimize channel strategies.
- Project Initiation & Business Casing
- Develop business cases for performance improvement initiatives, leveraging insights from cross-channel gap analysis.
- Collaborate with Finance, Strategy, and Channel Transformation teams to quantify opportunity sizing, define success metrics, and secure funding.
- Drive project initiation activities including stakeholder alignment, scope definition, and intake governance.
- Ensure initiatives are grounded in data-driven rationale and aligned with enterprise priorities.
- Dashboard Development & Reporting
- Collaborate with analytics and technology teams to design and maintain standardized dashboards when necessary.
- Ensure dashboards provide clear visibility into sales outcomes, gaps, and trends with intuitive design for easy end-user consumption.
- Deliver executive-ready reporting packages for senior leadership.
- Escalate Risks & Trends
- Monitor pipeline health and identify patterns in productivity drops, or uneven performance.
- Escalate emerging risks and trends to leadership with actionable recommendations.
- Support governance forums with timely insights to inform strategic decisions.
- Enable Leadership Decisions
- Provide channel leaders with data-driven insights with recommendations.
- Maintain accountability for implementing fixes in partnership with Sales Force Effectiveness and frontline leaders.
- Influence decision-making through storytelling with data and scenario modeling.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or advanced analytics certification preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in performance management, business analytics, or strategic planning within financial services.
- Strong proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and advanced Excel skills is an asset.
- Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management tools is an asset.
Working Conditions:
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
