The Role
The Senior Manager, Non-Financial Risk plays a critical role in providing first-line oversight to Global Operations on all Non-Financial Risk (NFR) program activities. In this role, you will directly support the strategic objectives of the Chief Operations Office by ensuring key initiatives, plans, and goals are successfully executed. You will help ensure that Global Operations meets all regulatory, policy, and procedural expectations while maintaining a strong and effective risk culture across the business.

- Act as a trusted advisor by leveraging strong business knowledge to provide value-added insights and independent, effective challenge.
- Lead the execution and oversight of NFR Programs and Projects across Global Operations, including but not limited to:

- Non-Financial Risk Testing: Conduct 1st line control testing to ensure business processes and initiatives comply with regulatory and operational risk requirements, internal policies, and procedures.
- Operational Risk Management: Support activities related to Operational Risk Events (OREs), Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), Scenario Analysis, Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), and New Initiative Risk Assessments (NIRA).
- Regulatory Compliance Management: Oversee regulatory change and library management, Compliance Risk and Control Assessments (CRCA), compliance monitoring and oversight, testing reviews, Business Unit Hierarchy Reviews, Recovery & Resolution Planning, and regulatory projects (e.g., DLP, EUCs).
- Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM): Support TPRM activities and Contract Management (ICERTIS).
- Drive operational efficiency by leading initiatives related to tracking, analysis, monitoring, benchmarking, reporting, and annual planning.
- Partner with Global Operations stakeholders during operational and compliance risk assessments to evaluate controls, mitigate risks, identify gaps, and strengthen the overall control environment.
- Provide subject matter guidance and training to stakeholders on NFR and regulatory programs, including TPRM.
- Analyze NFR program data, alerts, and trends to identify gaps and opportunities, producing clear reporting and actionable recommendations. Continuously enhance reporting processes and tools.
- Lead and contribute to projects addressing management or compliance needs, including communication of findings and implementation of corrective actions.
- Champion a client-focused culture, deepening relationships across the Bank and leveraging broader systems and knowledge.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and emerging risks.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:
- Undergraduate degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Risk Management, Accounting, or related discipline).
- Prior experience in one or more of the following areas: Compliance / Operational Risk Management / Third-Party Risk Management / Internal Audit / Regulatory Risk or other related risk disciplines
- Strong working knowledge of the Bank’s regulations, policies, procedures, operations, and functions relevant to Non-Financial Risk.
- Deep understanding of regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to operational and regulatory risk.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Visio.
- Proficiency in Power BI (asset).
- Bilingual English/Spanish (asset).
- Relevant professional certifications considered an asset, such as: CRM / CRMA / CIA / CISA / CRCM or similar designations related to risk, compliance, or audit.
