The Senior Manager, Issues Management & Governance, International Banking (IB) Financial Crimes Risk Management (FCRM) is part of the Governance, Issues Management & Training Office within IB FCRM with responsibility for leading the issue management & governance function for IB FCRM. This role has the primary responsibility for leading the management of issue resolution within IB FCRM, including the creation of action plans, proactively driving the delivery of issue resolutions and deliverables assigned to IB FCRM and supporting management in tracking and reporting AML and sanctions issue remediation projects across IB FCRM.
This role will work with first, second and third line of defense to ensure issues are resolved as per the committed resolution dates. 


Key Accountabilities: 

Issue Management

•    Lead and manage the IB FCRM second line Issues Management. Act as a center of competency for issues for IB FCRM by providing support through communication and guidance on managing issues
•    Establish, build, and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and departments within IB First and Second Line 
•    Manage ongoing information paths/networks within IB FCRM with a special focus on regulatory issues and self-identified issues 
•    Coordinate central tracking of all FCRM and Sanctions issues management for IB for the Second Line in the countries and at head office level and align with GPS and IB Internal Controls. Coordination with the FCRM assessment team, Audit, Compliance and Testing teams to aggregate and align issues and remediation plans as required.
•    Participate and represent IB FCRM in any issue management transformation project such as Open Pages including review of issue management Standards
•    Escalate IB FCRM second line related concerns to the Director FCRM Issues Management Office International Banking as required. 


•    Prepare reports or provide input to reports for the Director Governance, Issues Management & Training, VP and SVP AML on a regular basis, and act as the repository of these reports for IB FCRM
         - IB FCRM Quarterly and Annual CAMLO Opinion Report.
         - Regulatory Exam and Development quarterly update
         - Group CAMLO IB FCRM Quarterly Dashboard
         - Quarterly Issue Dashboard

         - AML/ATF and Sanctions Quarterly Report on Enterprise-Wide programs to the Risk Committee of the Board of Directors
         - AROC Updates
         - Audit and regulatory review summaries

•    Dashboards/decks to communicate the status of issues management in IB in a clear and concise manner
•    Participate in the resolution of IB FCRM Audits generally when the information is centralized in IB FCRM HQ



Bachelor's degree in Business, Arts, or Sciences or MBA


Other Experience


  • Must be bilingual / fluent in English and Spanish
  • Knowledge of PowerBI and advanced knowledge of Excel is a must
  • International Banking experience is preferred
