The Global Finance Value Creation Office (VCO) enables the execution of key strategic projects and major initiatives that deliver measurable business and financial outcomes across Global Finance in support of the Bank’s strategy. The VCO partners across the function to build and strengthen capabilities, while advancing initiatives that improve operational efficiency enhance financial performance, and elevate decision-making quality. The Senior Manager contributes to the overall success of Global Finance in Canada ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of long-term strategic plans, ensuring alignment with Global Finance priorities and all-bank strategy. Identify and evaluate areas of opportunity, based on value potential, cost-benefit trade-offs, and strategic return. Working cross-functionally to ensure strategic initiatives are well developed, integrated, and prioritized based on impact and feasibility.
  • Support VCO in driving the execution and ongoing management of strategic planning for Global Finance.
  • Build Finance capabilities (data literacy, BI, automation); stand up communities of practice; establish learning pathways. Enabling Finance to identify, measure, and track value across initiatives.
  • Perform strategic and business analysis to identify opportunities and develop solutions across the function / enterprise, addressing key issues and mitigating risks. Translate insights into clear recommendations that quantify value, financial impact, and risk trade-offs.
  • Develop and deliver concise, compelling executive-level presentations and materials articulating value drivers, and expected outcomes, influencing decision-making and driving alignment.
  • Govern multiple project workstreams to enable program / project execution, including leading exploratory sessions, workshops and interviews with cross-functional team members and subject matter experts.
  • Support the execution and ongoing management of initiatives through objective reporting. Develop and maintain program project plan to manage deliverables and related timelines.
  • Build and sustain strong collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, effectively managing competing priorities, expectations, and interdependencies to support the achievement of deliverables and overall objectives.
  • Other ad hoc strategic support, on emerging, high-priority strategic initiatives and special projects as required, often operating in ambiguous or rapidly evolving environments.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?  We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field; MBA or graduate degree preferred
  • Progressive experience in management consulting, finance transformation, corporate strategy or large-scale change initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex, crossfunctional initiatives from concept through execution and change adoption
  • Strong strategic thinking and problemsolving capabilities, with a structured and analytical approach
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate effectively in a fastpaced, ambiguous environment
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and executivelevel presentation skills
  • Advanced proficiency in standard productivity and analytics tools; comfort working with data to generate insights
  • Self-motivated; work both independently and collaboratively with multi-functional teams, as both a leader and member
