  • Owns end‑to‑end data impact assessments across accounting, settlement, reconciliation, reporting, risk, finance, treasury, and regulatory consumers.
  • Acts as the primary escalation point for data‑related risks, defects, and unresolved issues within payment modernization initiatives.
  • Partners with Business, Operations, Technology, Finance, Treasury, Risk, Compliance, and Data teams to ensure data lineage, integrity, and control requirements are embedded in target‑state designs.
  • Oversees data migration, cutover, and parallel-run readiness, ensuring reconciliation, balancing, and control frameworks are clearly defined, validated, and adhered to.
  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts to shape payments strategies, define executable MVPs, and translate business and technical requirements into actionable plans.
  • Engages internal stakeholders to drive alignment, ensure clear communication, and gain buy‑in for data‑related changes.
  • Considers the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture in all decision‑making and day‑to‑day activities.
  • Ensures effective operations in alignment with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, maintaining strong business controls and compliance with operational, AML/ATF, sanctions, and conduct requirements.
  • Contributes to a high‑performance and inclusive work environment.

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in payments, banking operations, data change, transformation, or large‑scale technology programs.
  • Strong understanding of high‑value payment processing, including wires, settlement, clearing, and accounting flows.
  • Proven experience managing data impacts within complex system migrations or platform replacements.
  • Solid knowledge of accounting, reconciliation, and control frameworks in a financial institution.
