The Senior Manager, Global 2nd Line Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) Risk Advisor contributes to the overall success of the Global TPRM Program by providing second line effective challenge, portfolio oversight and consolidated reporting for assigned portfolio. The role is accountable for maintaining a holistic view of the portfolio across business line, suppliers and geographies; identifying cross-country and cross-vendor themes; escalating material issues; and coordinating with partners to support consistent oversight, review and challenge activities. The incumbent also supports stakeholder engagement, drives awareness of TPRM requirements, and ensures activities are executed in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. 

 


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  • Champions a customer-focused culture to deepen stakeholder relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Performs quality reviews, effective challenge activities, risk views and oversight of risk-based assessments for new and existing third-party arrangements, including review of due diligence, residual risk and exit strategy considerations, as applicable.
  • Coordinates with local and regional second line teams globally to support consistent execution of effective challenge and to identify, assess and escalate cross-country themes and systemic issues.
  • Provides portfolio-level oversight across the assigned third-party portfolio, including oversight by business line, supplier and geography. Maintains a consolidated view of portfolio health, key risk indicators, overdue activities and material issues to support reporting and escalation to senior management.
  • Builds and maintains an understanding of priority supplier services, including business line exposure, geographic footprint, relationship volume and concentration indicators, to support supplier-focused oversight.
  • Identifies portfolio trends, repeat issues and emerging risks, and partners with stakeholders to drive remediation, improved consistency in effective challenge, and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitates regular meetings with key stakeholder groups and execution partners to support efficient program operation and portfolio transparency. Addresses TPRM program-related queries.
  • Maintains and enhances TPRM effective challenge procedures, trainings, job aids and governance practices.
  • Leads and supports TPRM modernization initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
  • Continuous improvement mindset; seeks to learn and understand. Identifies challenges and pain points and raise them for resolution with urgency and follow through.   
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including responsibilities under applicable Bank frameworks and guidelines.

 Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? 

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance or a related discipline; MBA or other graduate degree would be an asset.
  • Significant relevant experience at a senior manager level, or equivalent depth and complexity of role, in a large financial institution.
  • Direct experience in vendor management or third-party risk management is required; broader general risk management experience may be considered.
  • Experience overseeing complex third-party portfolios, including portfolio oversight, thematic analysis, consolidated reporting and escalation management, is preferred.
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions and coordinating with complex stakeholder groups and functions. Organizational skills and tenacity in following up on open actions.
  • Strong understanding of third-party risk management and vendor-related regulatory expectations in the financial services industry.
  • Experience reviewing or working with third-party contracts is an asset.
  • Role scope covers transactional risk review of supplier arrangements as well as enterprise-level third-party portfolio oversight, consolidated reporting, escalations and thematic analysis for the assigned portfolio across business line, vendor and geography. 
  • Role requires close coordination with partners, along with regular interaction with senior stakeholders across jurisdictions.
  • Working proficiency in Spanish is required, including the ability to operate effectively in spoken and written business communications.
  • Role requires strong working knowledge of TPRM and reporting tools, including Coupa Risk Assess, Icertis Contract Management, OpenPages, and Microsoft 365.
