The Senior Manager is accountable for all aspects of GRM’s annual operating expense budget, forecast updates, and reporting. The Senior Manager works closely with GRM Senior Management, Global Finance, HR, and other business partners to deliver accurate reports and insights to executives. This role is also responsible for identifying reporting and analysis efficiencies, as well as opportunities for process improvement.

This role contributes to the overall success of the Global Risk Management (GRM) Finance department by ensuring individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. The incumbent ensures all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Analyze financial results for GRM risk functions for management reporting purposes.
  • Lead the maintenance and production of forecasting models and reporting decks used to prepare monthly and quarterly management financial reports for GRM and Business Line stakeholders.
  • Support strong financial discipline, with a focus on prioritization and the efficient use of resources.
  • Manage month-end cut-off processes and deadlines for all GRM risk functions.
  • Partner with GRM risk function management teams to provide timely support, transparency, and insights that enable effective decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, including HR, PMOs, Corporate Functions, and Business Line Finance teams.
  • Provide expense allocation transparency to Business Lines, including detailed information as required.
  • Communicate financial information to internal and external stakeholders, explain financial transactions, and resolve related issues.
  • Develop and execute meaningful employee development plans; motivate and support direct reports in achieving strong performance in their current roles and preparing for future opportunities.
  • Recognize direct report development needs and take an active role in addressing gaps.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • A university degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA designation is considered an asset.
  • 5 to 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, expense management, or a related area.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • A self-driven, highly energetic approach and a collaborative team-player mindset.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to coach and develop a team of financial professionals.
  • Experience preparing executive summaries and presentation decks.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, as well as financial reporting software such as Hyperion, OPEX, and OBI; working knowledge of Power BI is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to deliver multiple requirements within tight deadlines.
