Title: Senior Manager, Fraud Management (Product Owner)
Requisition ID: 271275
Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.
As the Senior Manager, Fraud Management, you will contribute to the overall success of Global Fraud Management by maximizing the value of the PRM Fraud Monitoring platform and related fraud capabilities. You will translate business needs into clear product outcomes, prioritized backlog items, and delivery-ready requirements, while ensuring business strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Working closely with Global Fraud Management, Technology, Fraud Operations, Analytics, Data Governance, and business-line partners, you will shape product direction, manage stakeholder demand, and support the delivery of initiatives that strengthen fraud prevention, detection, investigation, reporting, controls, and operational effectiveness. This role acts as a key bridge between business strategy and technology execution, ensuring solutions are aligned to customer outcomes, operational needs, enterprise standards, regulatory expectations, and measurable business value.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Own and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and prioritized backlog for the PRM Fraud Monitoring platform and capabilities, ensuring alignment with enterprise fraud strategy and business priorities.
- Translate strategic objectives, business needs, operational pain points, control gaps, and regulatory requirements into epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, and delivery-ready requirements.
- Represent the voice of Global Fraud Management, operations, customers, and business stakeholders throughout the delivery lifecycle to ensure solutions improve fraud outcomes, employee experience, customer protection, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain a deep understanding of business needs, market practices, competitor approaches, and emerging fraud trends to inform product priorities and recommendations.
- Lead backlog refinement, prioritization, sprint planning, and delivery support activities by balancing business value, risk reduction, customer impact, regulatory urgency, implementation effort, and operational readiness.
- Partner with Technology, Engineering, Architecture, Security, Data & Analytics, Fraud Operations, and business-line stakeholders to assess feasibility, validate dependencies, and ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and fit for purpose.
- Define and validate acceptance criteria, support user acceptance testing, review solution demonstrations, and confirm delivered capabilities meet agreed business outcomes.
- Manage intake and prioritization of new features, enhancements, defect remediation, reporting needs, process improvements, and control-related opportunities.
- Map and manage project dependencies that may impact sequencing, delivery timelines, implementation readiness, or benefits realization.
- Monitor product performance, adoption, delivery progress, risks, issues, dependencies, and benefits realization; provide clear and timely updates; and raise issues and risks early, with recommendations for senior management and key stakeholders.
- Support change management, implementation planning, training, communications, and operational readiness activities to enable successful adoption of new or enhanced capabilities.
- Continuously identify opportunities to optimize fraud processes, reduce manual effort, improve controls, enhance data quality, and increase the value delivered through fraud technology investments.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
- Actively pursue effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, Global Sales Principles, and applicable business controls to meet obligations related to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, conduct, and fraud risk.
- Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
