The role:

 

Leads the Client Experience Centers’ and Virtual Advice team’s financial planning and reporting activities, coordinating annual budgeting processes and governance activities, closely monitoring and managing operating expenses, conducting periodical reviews and ad-hoc analyses, providing vital information to Senior Executives for strategic decision making.   Provides financial governance and oversight to CEC countries on their financial planning and reporting.
 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will: 

 

  • Coordinate the annual budgeting process among the Bank's Virtual Advice team and 6 client experience centers globally (Toronto, Halifax, Ottawa, Mexico, Colombia, Dominican Republic):
  • Directly responsible for preparing the Client Experience Centers', Virtual Advice teams’ budgets, taking into consideration customer demand growth, new initiatives, and productivity / efficiency improvements
  • Assemble and present Client Experience Center and Virtual Advice teams’ budget package to Senior Leadership
  • Champion a high performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment; communicating vison/values/business strategy and managing succession and development planning for the team.
  • Champion a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Financial Planning & Reporting:
    • Act as the primary/central source of financial information, working closely with both Canadian Banking (CB) Finance on budgets, variance reporting and forecasting.
    • Manage the annual preparation of Business Line Allocations.
    • Oversee the production of monthly expense variance reporting; analyze and provide rationale for deviations from plan.
    • Oversee monthly MPC reporting for executives.
    • Work closely with central Finance to ensure information is provided for the Bank's financial reports in a timely manner.
  • Provide Analytics to Senior Executives for strategic decision making:
    • Identify and drive cost savings and revenue opportunities
    • Provide analysis on costs across markets in a fair and equitable way (accounting for differences in business models, labour laws, productivity, etc...)
    • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses as required
    • Oversee the execution and ongoing management of productivity enhancement initiatives through objective reporting
    • Foster and maintain collaborative relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support the achievement of deliverables and overall objectives; Drive the execution and ongoing management of
    • strategic planning at the Client Experience Centers and Virtual Advice teams.
  • Provide Governance and Oversight for Global Contact Centres Operational processes:
    • Share best practices on Financial Reporting, Planning and expense management.  
    • Coordinate Canada Governance oversight reporting.
    • Budget impact of new project initiatives.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • An undergraduate or post graduate degree in business, finance, accounting, or economics.
  • 5+ years of experience with financial planning, modeling, valuation techniques and spreadsheet analysis.
  • Accounting designation and/or CFA is a strong asset.
  • Excellent financial planning and analytics skills.
  • Excellent communication (written, verbal, and presentation) skills, with demonstrated ability to make recommendations to Senior Management.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and relationship management expertise.
  • Strategic influencing skills and ability to work directly with Senior and Executive Management as and when required.
  • Strong business acumen, conceptual thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to identify innovative solutions and champion continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work in a high paced, deadline oriented environment with changing priorities.
  • Excellent computer skills (proficiency with Microsoft Office).
