Are you a strategic talent acquisition leader with a passion for technology recruitment? Scotiabank is seeking a Senior Manager, Executive Talent Acquisition – Technology responsible for leading end‑to‑end executive recruitment for VP‑level and senior technology leadership roles.
In this role, you’ll act as a trusted talent advisor to senior business leaders, driving high‑impact hiring strategies across our Technology portfolio. You’ll focus exclusively on executive‑level recruitment, building deep pipelines, shaping market‑informed search strategies, and delivering a differentiated experience to senior candidates and stakeholders.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Own and manage executive (VP+) talent acquisition across the Bank’s business lines and corporate/control functions, providing strategic insights and advice by partnering with hiring executives on complex, specialized leadership needs
- Perform in-depth research to identify passive talent prospects and reviewing and screening candidate applications to present diverse and highly qualified candidate slates
- Take a proactive, data-driven approach to source and attract executive-level candidates through various channels, building a pipeline of candidates for the Bank’s executive talent pool and bringing insights and ideas to leaders at the Bank
- Advocate and champion Scotiabank’s commitment to diversity and inclusion by practicing inclusive hiring practices and ensuring stakeholders are committing to the same
- Manage escalated and complex issues, such as business-related questions and complexities with certain hiring scenarios, ensuring recruitment activities are delivered in compliance with legislative requirements
- Effectively managee complex compensation negotiations with candidates, engaging with our Total Rewards and HR Business Partner teams
- Lead the end-to-end candidate experience, acting as a point of contact and building influential candidate relationships during the selection process
- Contribute to the overall success of Talent Strategy, ensuring goals, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s overall strategies and objectives
- Suppot the Talent Strategy globally and in alignment with Scotiabank’s vision and Global Human Resources’ strategy
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Proven track record of sourcing and recruiting technology executive-level talent by using research-driven, proactive methodologies, e.g. market scans, approaching passive prospects, cold-calling, leveraging client and own professional networks, etc.
- 5+ years in an executive recruitment role at complex and/or large companies; executive search firm experience strongly preferred
- Proven ability to run complex, niche executive searches independently.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of current technology trends and leadership capabilities.
- Results-oriented and able to effectively execute in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically and cultivate networks and relationships
- Undergraduate degree, preferably with focus on business/human resources and/or work-related experience
- Knowledge of the Banking industry is strongly preferred, and experience across the Bank’s global footprint is considered an asset
- Strong understanding of AI prompting and emerging technologies, with the ability to leverage them to enhance recruitment strategies and efficiencies
