Purpose:

Senior Manager, Deposit and Retail Lending Specialist- Private Banking, will contribute to the Private Banking product positioning, pricing, product knowledge and education, sales of Private Banking Products. The candidate will also be responsible for establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with Regional Leadership, Private Banking Teams and other bank partners to ensure Private Banking offerings are aligned with the departments value proposition, as well as maintaining optimized pricing on deposit and lending related products. 


 
What you will be doing:

 

  • Works directly with the Vice President, Performance & Sales Effectiveness, Regional Leaders and Private Bankers to support the value proposition, increase deposits and lending, provide advice based tailored solutions for key UHNW clients and prospects, and achieving annual growth and revenue targets through new acquisition and retention.
  • Supports bankers in the field with complex client-facing meeting by recommending tailored cash management solutions.
  • Provides expertise to the field on Deposit and Residential Mortgage pricing process and supports the business-line pricing discretion.
  • Source, analyze, and organize interest rate and economic data and commentary to maintain a current-market insight summary for presentation for Private Bankers and clients.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the competitive landscape of deposit and Real Estate lending products. 
  • Collect information relating to client segments and market trends and ensure timely review and response to any updates relating to product improvements, pricing, etc.
  • Contributes to the management of the growth & revenue for all Private Banking products and works with stakeholders in Retail Deposit Services, Real Estate Secured Lending and Global Banking & Products to maximize revenues and profitability for Private Banking products.
  • Works with the Products Director researching client product requirements and making recommendations to introduce new products or amendments to existing products, to ensure Private Banking has a best of class offering in the Canadian marketplace.
  • Contributes to the Development and delivery of training material to educate bankers on Private Banking products.
  • Maximize the Private Banking overall offering, by ensuring the Private Banking Teams are aware of and have access to all offers from Retail Deposit Services, Real Estate Secured Lending and Global Business Deposits.
  • Partner with marketing to ensure the tailored Private Banking offering is translated to presentations and marketing material for the Private Banking Teams to leverage.
  • Ensure that the Bank’s interests are always protected by strictly adhering to risk management and compliance programs, internal and regulatory guidelines, including Know Your Customer, Anti-Money Laundering, etc. 
  • Performs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits.

  • Sales Enablement - Delivering targeted deal-based preparation and advice tactics that align with business goals and results objectives.
  • Advice process optimization – identifying inefficiencies in advice process and implementing best practices.
  • Change Management and Adoption - Leading change initiatives, ensuring adoption of new products, tools and advice processes.

 


Do you have the skills to enable you to be successful in this role? We would love to work with you if you have:

  • Minimum of 5 years in financial services. 
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in business or related field; additional industry courses/designations an asset including Financial Planning and Investment Management accreditation
  • Must be an experienced banking professional with exceptional interpersonal, influence, leadership, sales and business development skills. 
  • Experience developing and executing projects.  
  • Combination of project/head office and sales/sales management experience would be considered a great asset 
  • The incumbent must have thorough knowledge of non-lending products across retail and commercial or corporate segments
