Title:  Senior Manager, Delivery Specialist

Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

Purpose

The Senior Delivery Manager leads the structured, predictable, and strategic delivery of Data Engineering initiatives across multiple countries. This role owns the end‑to‑end operating model—from intake to execution—ensuring clarity, governance, and delivery excellence.

The position drives modernization of practices, empowers local teams, optimizes resource productivity, and strengthens alignment between business priorities and engineering execution. Through strong leadership and cross‑country coordination, the Senior Delivery Manager enables a scalable, autonomous, and high‑performing Data Engineering organization.

Accountability

Intake Governance: Establish and maintain a simple and standardized intake process for new data initiatives across all countries, ensuring clarity, alignment, and consistent prioritization.

Delivery Performance: Oversee delivery commitments (plan vs. actual), manage risks and dependencies, and ensure clear visibility to stakeholders on progress, impediments, and outcomes.

Team Productivity & Resource Management: Monitor workload, utilization, productivity, and capacity needs. Drive improvements in team efficiency and operational discipline.

Team Modernization & Best Practices: Lead the modernization plan for the Data Engineering delivery function, including standardization of ways of working, tooling, documentation, and delivery metrics.

Operating Model & Administrative Optimization: Redesign administrative and financial responsibilities to reduce friction, eliminate non‑value‑added tasks, and enhance team focus on strategic delivery.

Leadership & Team Development: Build autonomy and leadership within the team through coaching, mentoring, and empowerment. Promote a culture of ownership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe Agilist, PMP) are highly desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Agile project management or Scrum Master roles, with at least 3 years focused on data-related projects (e.g., data engineering, data analytics, or data warehousing).
  • Proven track record of delivering data products or solutions in the banking or financial services industry, with knowledge of international banking regulations (e.g., GDPR, MiFID II, or equivalent).
  • Strong experience facilitating cross-functional teams and managing senior stakeholders in a global, matrixed organization.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps) and data engineering workflows (e.g., ETL processes, data pipelines, cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Familiarity with data governance, data quality frameworks, and compliance requirements in banking.

Skills

  • Exceptional communication and facilitation skills to bridge technical and business teams.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities in high-pressure environments.
  • Deep understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) and their application to data engineering projects.
  • Ability to coach teams and stakeholders on Agile practices and data-driven delivery.
  • This role is critical to ensuring the seamless delivery of innovative data products that empower international banking operations while maintaining agility, compliance, and stakeholder alignment.
