The Role:
The Senior Manager, Day-to-Day Banking Fee Optimization is responsible for developing and executing pricing, fee, and revenue optimization strategies across the Day-to-Day Banking portfolio. The incumbent will lead initiatives that maximize non-interest revenue while balancing customer value, competitiveness, regulatory requirements, and client outcomes.
Working closely with Business Analytics, Retail Customer Value, Marketing, Finance, Digital, Operations, Compliance, Legal, and Technology teams, the Senior Manager will identify opportunities to optimize account fee structures, transaction pricing, service charges, and customer segmentation strategies. The role is accountable for delivering sustainable revenue growth through data-driven insights, rigorous financial analysis, and effective execution of strategic initiatives.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Develop and execute the Day-to-Day Banking fee optimization roadmap to drive sustainable growth in non-interest revenue.

- Identify opportunities to optimize fee structures, transaction fees, account package economics, service charges, and waiver strategies.
- Conduct pricing elasticity and client behavior analyses to evaluate the impact of fee changes and pricing initiatives.

- Manage the product line P&L for Day-to-Day and accounts.

- Deliver Product design & development: Maintain a best-in class products enhancements with clear value propositions for prioritized segments and products that support client primacy. Innovate continuously to meet changing client needs and keep up with industry trends.
- Support expense management, including carving out a marketing budget and working with Finance and all internal and external partners to reduce structural costs.
- Partner with Business Analytics to assess product and segment performance, as well as develop product strategies to drive continued improvement.
- Collaborate across all teams with P&L levers, namely: Business Analytics, Retail Customer Value, Retail Performance, Payments Products and Digital Payments
- Champion the end-to-end customer experience and related structural costs
- Develop new opportunities and programs to increase portfolio growth & retention

- Develop, design, and recommend best in class Day to Day Banking solutions by:

- Identifying & evaluating potential new products, product enhancements, and/or opportunities to reduce product shelf.
- Leverage and contribute to a high-quality market intelligence program.
- Identifying both short-term and long-term business objectives & critical milestones to achieve them.
- Preparing proposals/business cases outlining product concept and business financial rationale.
- Working closely with partners across the Bank, including Acquisition and Engagement, Marketing Planning, and Information Technology & Systems on the execution of new products and/or product enhancements
- Creating and managing in support with the Analytics team any product/plan specific dashboard reporting that will allow us to better monitor various performance criteria.
- Ensuring product/plan materials are current across channels and contribute to ongoing development of new content.
- Leading communication and providing subject matter expertise to channels and teams on Day-to-Day Banking products.

- Build and leverage partnerships across the Bank to deliver against business objectives and provide excellent customer service.
- Lead day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.
- Create an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Post-secondary degree/ MBA or Masters preferred.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Product management experience, preferably in banking products
- Proven ability to influence and build relationship with multiple stakeholders.
- Creative approach to product development and differentiation; ability to monitor wider market/consumer trends and tailor new products accordingly.
- Awareness of key environmental factors in the Day to Day Banking industry, including government and regulatory issues
- Excellent communication and long-term planning skills
- Solid understanding of business operations and risk issues for Day-to-Day Banking products
- Strong business and marketing acumen
