Our Customer Security Services Team at Scotia Digital is seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead the development of our Customer Authentication Management Services product.

The Authentication Services platform is a critical enabler for the Bank's customer digital journey. As the Senior Manager, you will be overseeing the delivery of our Authentication Services product. If you are passionate about holding the high standard of technology products that are highly critical for the Bank and its customers, and are able to inspire the team to meet those demanding standard and guidelines, we look forward to learning more about you!

Is this role right for you?

  • Responsible for managing a team of skilled engineers, building new functionality and new capabilities for our products.
  • Oversee the end-to-end product life-cycle, from design and development, deployment, provisioning to integration and maintenance.
  • Provide mentorship and expectations to the team.
  • Liaison with various Bank stakeholders and external vendors to address product features applicability, security concerns and network/communication issues and product features timelines/roadmap and delivery coordination.
  • Participate and manage all aspects of a project life cycle (Requirements, Analysis, Design, Code, Test, Implementation and Production handover).
  • Ensure creation of documentation including design, operational support documents.
  • Suggest architecture and process improvements.
  • Evaluate new technology options and vendor products.
  • Regularly conveying key strategies, tasks, and status to team and management.

  • You are experienced in software development, support, deployment and maintenance of large scale applications with complex integration.

  • You have a disposition to appreciate the design and creative possibilities of uncertainty and ambiguity
  • You have experience managing product life cycle - from inception to adoption, including cost and revenue,business case preparation/ presentation/ approval/ execution.
  • You have experience leading product-oriented Agile development teams; providing leadership in ceremonies such as backlog grooming and sprint planning.
  • You understand network topologies and common network protocols and services (DNS, HTTP(S), SSH, FTP, SMTP).You are flexible to adapt to a dynamic and highly collaborative work environment, make quick and sound decisions under pressure.
