Purpose
We are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Senior Manager - Credit Portfolio Management to oversee and optimize the performance of a diverse credit portfolio across multiple regions. This role is critical to maintaining portfolio quality, identifying emerging risks, and supporting growth opportunities through sound credit practices. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with relationship managers, credit risk teams, and senior leadership to ensure alignment with the bank’s risk appetite, regulatory standards, and business objectives.
What you will be doing:
- Monitor and manage credit portfolio performance across five countries/regions, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular portfolio-level reporting, including risk metrics, concentration analysis, stress testing, and asset quality reviews.
- Consolidate and improve the reliability of portfolio reporting across different IT systems and credit processes.
- Identify trends in client activity and market conditions that may signal deteriorating credit quality or growth opportunities.
- Lead the development and enhancement of portfolio management tools, methodologies, and dashboards.
- Collaborate with relationship managers, credit officers, and risk teams to support sound underwriting and proactive portfolio management.
- Participate in credit committee meetings and contribute to credit decision-making processes.
- Oversee covenant monitoring, margin calls, and concentration risks to minimize exposure and ensure documentation compliance.
- Respond to inquiries from Wealth Managers, Global Risk Management (GRM), and auditors regarding credit-related issues.
- Demonstrates initiative and proactively identifies and mitigates operational risks across credit processes.
- Support new loan originations and ensure accuracy of loan documentation prior to closing.
- Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to talent development within the credit team.
- Champion process improvements and strategic initiatives that enhance portfolio oversight and operational efficiency.

- Knowledge of Spanish is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (required).
- Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CFA or CFP are considered an asset.
- 7–10 years of experience in credit risk, portfolio management, or lending within financial services.
- Proven success in regulatory reporting, covenant monitoring, and credit documentation.
- Demonstrated leadership in strategic initiatives and process improvements.
