Senior Manager, Credit Cards Performance & Insights

 

This is a 12-month Contract position in Toronto, Ontario

As Senior Manager, Credit Cards Performance & Insights, you’ll be at the forefront of driving performance through data storytelling, strategic analysis, and actionable recommendations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on uncovering insights, influencing decisions, and crafting compelling narratives that move the business forward.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
 

  • Lead Portfolio Intelligence: Own the end-to-end reporting and insights engine for Credit Cards, delivering dashboards and performance narratives that inform executives and cross-functional partners.
  • Drive Strategic Planning: Collaborate with Finance and Analytics to forecast KPIs, model acquisition outcomes, and track performance against targets.
  • Tell the Story Behind the Numbers: Translate complex data into clear, compelling presentations that guide product strategy and executive decision-making.
  • Develop Actionable Recommendations: Leverage insights and performance analysis to propose strategic initiatives that optimize portfolio growth, enhance customer engagement, and improve overall business outcomes.
  • Champion Data-Driven Culture: Facilitate business reviews, lead partner presentations, and ensure insights are timely, relevant, and aligned across product and channel teams.
  • Orchestrate Analytics Delivery: Prioritize and manage data requests with internal partners to ensure high-impact insights are delivered efficiently.
  • Elevate Team Performance: Foster a culture of excellence, inclusion, and continuous development, aligned with Scotiabank’s values and global sales principles.
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursues effective and efficient operations while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:  

  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Analytics, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
  • Proven experience in financial services, product strategy, or business analytics.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including experience in building models, reports.
  • A sharp analytical mind with a passion for storytelling through data, including experience working with modern data visualization platforms like Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
  • Strong strategic thinking with a focus on driving measurable results.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights and propose initiatives that drive portfolio growth and optimize business performance.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence senior stakeholders, including skilled in presenting data-driven insights clearly to senior audiences.
  • Proficient in creating visually compelling and professional PowerPoint presentation tailored to executive-level discussions.
  • Deep understanding of the Canadian banking landscape, including products, channels, client segments, and competitive dynamics.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success in team leadership and collaborative execution across departments.

Working Conditions

  • This role is located in our downtown Toronto, ON office location. Work in a standard-office based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurence.
