The senior manager will contributes to the growth and safety of a Corporate loan portfolio. They will ensure that the portfolio is maintained in sound condition within the Bank's credit policy and that supporting documentation provides adequate protection.
Is this role right for you? In this role you, will:
Report to the Director while operating in a team-based environment.
Adjudicate credit proposals for your assigned portfolio. Contribute to the quality of the portfolio by undertaking analysis of credit applications and independently providing recommendations, while adhering to the Banks’ underwriting guidelines:

- Review pertinent financial and industry information and perform in depth risk assessment of incoming credit applications
- Maintain industry & regional expertise and ensure the ongoing quality of the credit portfolio through the review of publications, the assessment of monthly/quarterly financial reporting packages, and discussions with the applicable corporate banking officers.
- Ensure appropriate analysis, use of models and assignment of Borrower and Guarantor risk ratings in compliance with Bank guidelines and policy.
- Make credit recommendations and, as appropriate, participate in discussions in Senior Credit Committees.
- Provide credit authorizations that clearly communicate the terms and conditions of the adjudication.
- Ensure credit decisions are caputed accruately in the credit systems and related documentaiton is maintained on file.
- Take a lead role in industry reviews and other portfolio monitoring processes.
- Participate in reporting enhancement/ initiatives.
- Monitor the timely submission of applications and reporting.
- Conduct day-to-day activities in an effective and efficient manner, consistent with the Bank risk culture, Guidelines for Business Conduct, operational risk, regulatory compliance risk and AML/ATF.
- Maintain strong working relationships with origination/execution partners.
- Actively participate in strategic projects/ initiatives.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- MBA and/or Finance-related professional designations (e.g. CPA, CFA, etc) are preferred.
- Required at least 3 years of experience in credit analysis in Corporate and/or Commercial Banking or Credit roles, including but not limited to: understanding of credit structures and protections, credit documentation, and financial projections.
- Strong data analysis skills.
- Curiosity, ability to learn and to apply newly acquired knowledge to daily tasks.
- Strong time management and organizational skills to manage multiple (often shifting) priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Sound oral and written communication skills to support credit decisions before internal stakeholders (e.g. Global Risk Management and Banking counterparts).
