The Senior Manager, Commercialization drives market-informed commercialization strategies for digital banking products and experiences. This role brings together market intelligence, client journey evaluation, go‑to‑market planning, and release communications to ensure digital products and capabilities are competitively positioned, commercially ready, and delivering measurable value. The successful candidate will partner cross-functionally with product, channel, marketing, analytics, risk, and customer insights teams to generate actionable market knowledge, shape differentiated value propositions, and support execution with clear and structured stakeholder communications. This is a dynamic, high-ownership role that requires comfort navigating ambiguity, influencing without authority, and delivering high-quality, insight-driven outcomes.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
Market, Segment, and Competitive Intelligence
- Monitor market, client, regulatory, and competitive trends to identify early signals and commercialization opportunities.
- Conduct segment analysis, market sizing, and competitive benchmarking to guide prioritization and product strategy.
- Translate insights into clear recommendations that shape positioning and commercial decisions.
- Evaluate and size early opportunities using market trends, client insights, and competitive gaps to inform prioritization and investment decisions.
- Deliverables: Market Overview, Segment Analysis, Competitive Analysis. Opportunity Sizing
Journey Performance & Commercial Value Realization
- Assess end-to-end journeys - across triggers, entry points, conversion, drop offs, etc. - to identify friction, KPI gaps, and value-loss points.
- Benchmark journeys against internal KPIs, key competitors and industry expectations.
- Recommend improvements that enhance engagement, conversion, and commercial impact.
- Deliverables: Journey Reviews & Impact Assessments, Commercialization. Requirements Documents.
Go-to-Market Strategy & Launch Readiness
- Define target segments, value proposition, and competitive differentiation for digital releases.
- Plan and oversee go-to-market plan, ensuring operational readiness, risk mitigation, and cross-functional alignment between product, performance and planning teams.
- Coordinate cross-functional readiness across product, channel, marketing, Client Experience, legal, risk, and operations.
- Establish success metrics, assess launch performance, and drive benefits realization.
- Deliverables: Go-to-Market Strategy Decks, Launch Readiness Checklists.
Strategic Storytelling & Release Communications
- Synthesize updates from cross-functional teams into clear, structured, commercially relevant narratives.
- Create communication assets that support transparency, readiness, and alignment across executive and partner groups
- Closely partner with Digital Product leads to champion organization wide visibility into the digital product deliveries.
- Prioritize messaging based on impact, risk, and business value.
- Deliverables: Release Notes Emails, Monthly 30-60-90 Release Updates, Release Highlights Decks
Commercialization Enablement & Influence
- Build credibility for a maturing commercialization function through a high-performing, customer centric culture
- Influence without authority to drive alignment, reduce ambiguity, and accelerate execution.
- Establish and champion scalable frameworks, processes, tools, and best practices that strengthen commercialization discipline across the digital organization.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- 7–10+ years’ experience in digital commercialization, product marketing, digital strategy, consulting, or similar roles.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in market insights, competitive analysis, and journey diagnostics.
- Experience with journey mapping and digital performance analytics.
- Proven ability to define value propositions and develop go‑to‑market strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills: able to synthesize complex information into clear narratives.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence without authority in a matrixed environment.
- Strong cross-functional partnership and stakeholder management.
- Skilled in preparing executive‑ready presentations.
- Proficiency with visualization and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
