The role:


The Senior Manager, Change Management provides change management expertise and advice in support of Enterprise Delivery Office (EDO) projects across the Technology organization. The role reports to the Director, Change & Enablement and contributes to developing, planning and executing change interventions and strategies to ensure executives, senior leaders, people managers, and employees at all levels are equipped to manage the necessary changes to meet EDO objectives.

 

The incumbent is accountable for focusing on the people side of change – including changes to processes, organization structure, communications infrastructure, culture and standards – that maximize employee adoption and behaviour and minimize resistance. The incumbent is also responsible for making key contributions to culture management, training and communications. As required, they ensure leadership teams understand the cultural, organizational, and human issues arising from the various delivery initiatives and impacts.

 

The incumbent will work to drive faster adoption, higher ultimate utilization, and greater proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organization to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI, and the achievement of results and outcomes.

 

 


What will you do?

 

  • Lead the change management delivery process, including development of consolidated project plans, managing risks and issues, providing executive reporting and dashboards, and ongoing communication of project status to key stakeholders.
  • Lead and drives a customer-focused culture throughout the EDO to deepen internal client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
  • Establish leading change practices and supports processes to standardize change implementation across the EDO.
  • Design and implements the change roadmap for Agile Cloud Enablement (ACE) program to deliver change management standards that enable effective project delivery and behavior changes that accelerate adoption.
  • Create and delivers change management supporting material, leveraging effective channels for deployment of messages, refining and editing all change content intended for project or enterprise consumption.
  • Develop and tracks change performance measures to demonstrate effective change implementation and business value creation.
  • Champion and support communications, change management, and knowledge management / training across projects.
  • Partner on the development and deployment of communications plans aligned to change plans.
  • Equip the implementation teams, business lines, and other key partners with the tools and information required to act as effective change agents.
  • Contribute to establishing the overall EDO brand identity and messaging for various stakeholders and teams.
  • Create an environment to actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective area, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

What do you need to succeed?

 

  • 8 or more years of experience leading major change management initiatives, with technology change experience
  • PMP or MBA highly desirable
  • Solid understanding of culture change and ability to execute change initiatives in a business and technology environment.
  • Exceptional delivery skills and experience leading change management delivery programs.
  • Effective execution skills to ensure the successful delivery/implementation of the change management strategy.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing change management initiatives and making an impact in cross-functional groups, through influence and change principles.
  • Proven ability to engage and manage stakeholders in a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to present ideas and facilitate discussions to build consensus at all levels.
  • Ability to communicate large, complex changes across multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Functionally, the incumbent requires sound and thorough knowledge in communication best practices and approaches, as well as an innate ability to ‘connect the dots’ on thoughts or messages. The ability to adapt communication content and styles to suit the audiences, as well as the deliverer, is critical to the success of the role.
  • Strong project management skills and experience.
  • Expected to work independently and is considered an expert in the areas under his/her control. Makes decisions and recommendations on complex issues and has discretion in how the job responsibilities are carried out
