The role:
The Senior Manager, CIO Support will work closely with the Director, Finance to facilitate and support the tactical implementation and performance measurement of the Markets and Enterprise Technology . The Senior Manager will be responsible for building, reviewing and analyzing financial reporting & providing recommendations to optimize, driving insights while identifying emerging trends and opportunities.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Support the overall technology spend transparency initiatives in line with Finance objectives that will deliver value for both IT&S and the business.
- Manage approved spend thresholds (monthly finance process) to ensure adherence, and to identify opportunities for greater efficiency and to identify emerging risks and trends
- Develop, monitor and analyze financial metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action plans.
- Assess key processes and recommend ways to automate/streamline/simplify.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures that promote operational effectiveness and efficiency and ensure the organization is staying abreast of industry trends and best practices.
- Develop contacts within IT&S organization and externally across similar disciplines to share best practices.
- Act as the relationship manager to the Director in order to strategically influence outcomes and encourage open dialogue and feedback through the planning cycle.
- Be an ambassador for the Technology Finance team with other teams looking to better understand the strategic view of the IT business and the intersections between them and IT
- Act as an effective challenger during strategic decision-making discussions
- Work with cross-functional and leadership teams to deliver results

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; strong proficiency with Excel
- Excellent PowerPoint skills; confident communicator, able to convey ideas clearly and gain buy in
- University degree
- 5 years+ related financial services experiences
- Shared services experience would is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects through effective prioritization
- Strategic thinker with strong critical thinking, problem resolution skills
- Strong team player, relationship builder
- Confident facilitator with a senior audience
