Senior Manager, Business Solutions and Delivery - Cards and Lending Technology (CC&L) (Toronto, ON)

 

Collaborate with business team to understand and capture business requirements, map business process and collaborate with technology teams (including Business Analysts from other domain areas) to ensure the highest quality technology solution is delivered in accordance with business needs. The Business Solutions Expert is an application and business expert with strong leadership and facilitation skills with the ability to work well with others in both the business and technology domains. 

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:  

  • Responsible for the successful implementation of  CC&L solutions for projects, supporting highly complex business applications with complex integration needs across multiple technology disciplines. Participate in all phases of the SDLC.
  • Overseeing the requirements, design, test plans, development, and implementation of planned projects.
  • Review solutions and ensure alignment with business need and operations,  reusable, scalable and cost effective.
  • Assist business team on ideation to determine best approach and options.
  • Independently resolve complex, multi-faceted problems to meet the business needs of CC&L, by applying their financial and technological knowledge to the design of methodologies, models, and/or systems solutions. This includes conducting research and analysis, accurately and clearly defining user requirements and processes, and liaising with the users, business and other technology teams.
  • Provides expert knowledge of cross-functional and business processes, including business strategies and policies, risk management practices and methodologies, product offerings, financial markets, financial instruments, regulatory requirements, Back Office processes, and rapidly changing technology. Requires little management direction and handles extremely complex problems.
  • Collaborates as the business lead with multiple technology groups and vendors to ensure that the application, integrations, infrastructure and security architectures are designed to meet evolving business requirements, meet standards for reliability, scalability, performance and availability.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:  

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field of study or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects.
  • 5+ years of previous experience with gathering requirements from the client / business and documentation.
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas in order to achieve a common business objective.
  • Interpersonal skills to influence and spur change, facilitate and enhance performance within a cross-functional environment.
  • Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving business problems, making decisions and identifying priorities.
  • Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple business and technology organizations.
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
  • Build and maintain relationships by engaging business leaders to establish credibility, solve problems, build consensus and achieve objectives.
  • Excellent leadership, communication (written, verbal and presentation) and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and competing demands.
  • Have expert knowledge of end to end CC&L business, processes and systems, including TSYS, integration applications, the end-to-end workflows from Front-end channels to Back Offices, and current and anticipated regulatory requirements within CC&L.
  • Creative, self-starting, results-oriented, customer-focused and highly motivated individual with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in order to apply this knowledge to independently resolve complex business problems.
  • Have proven interpersonal, communication (written and verbal) and negotiation skills in order to build consensus and obtain cooperation from both users and senior management.
  • Have thorough knowledge of bank processes and major/key business units.
  • Have the ability to manage multiple small and large projects concurrently, work under tight timelines, conflicting and changing priorities.

Working Conditions

  • This role is located at our downtown Toronto, Ontario office. Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours may be required to meet business objectives. Limited travel required.
