Purpose
The Senior Manager Performance Intelligence will play a critical role in supporting the Global Insurance Strategy by enabling data-driven decision-making and delivering effective solutions to accelerate business growth and operational efficiency. This role will be a major contributor to strategic data projects in Global Insurance.  This role requires leadership in stakeholder engagement, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to distill complex data into clear, actionable insights. Working closely with Global Insurance product, distribution, and country stakeholders, the Senior Manager will be responsible for enabling the consumption of data for key initiatives, applying deep business acumen and leadership to drive meaningful outcomes.

 

What You'll Do:

  • Works with partners in International and Canadian Insurance to develop and implement insurance data sharing interfaces to manage effectively relevant Insurance data, identifying and providing requirements to ensure system, process, reporting and program enhancements that are developed to improve program effectiveness in a safe manner.
  • Collaborate with technology, product, enterprise analytics and business teams to ensure alignment and delivery
  • Identify opportunities to enhance analytics capabilities and influence strategic direction
  • Subject matter expertise and key contributor to the Data insight project for Global Insurance
  • Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven strategies
  • Lead the design and execution of analytics solutions that support business priorities
  • Standardize reporting across geographies to enable insights and strategic visibility
  • Provide thought leadership in data storytelling, and visualization
  • Oversees data integrity and governance for Global Insurance
  • Mentor and coach team members, fostering a culture of growth and innovation
  • Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. Understand Scotiabank’s values, code of conduct and adhere to operational, compliance and conduct risk policies
  • Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions 

 

What You'll Bring:

  • Bilingual Spanish/English is an asset
  • Global responsibilities for data in both IB and Canada (13 countries).  
  • Complex partner and data environment (IB 20 major partners, Canada 5 major partners)
  • Insurance business knowledge to identify and translate key business data into relevant insights for problem solving and strategical analytics
  • Strong knowledge of data visualization, automation & CRM tools including but not limited to- Power BI, Salesforce.
  • Expert skills in data mining using SQL, R/Python, or SAS;
  • Solid knowledge about data connections across various source data systems
