Senior Manager, Business Initiatives & Change Delivery, Global Transaction Banking

 

Purpose


The Senior Manager, Business Initiatives & Change Delivery plays a critical role in advancing the strategic priorities of Global Transaction Banking (GTB), Commercial and Canadian Commercial Banking. 

 

This role supports the execution of high-impact initiatives, drives change management efforts and supports regional leadership across GTB. The incumbent ensures alignment with business objectives, fosters a client-centric culture, and enables operational excellence through data-driven insights, planning, and stakeholder engagement.


Key Accountabilities:

 

Strategic Initiative & Change Delivery:

•    Support in the design, development, and execution of strategic initiatives aligned with GTB and Canadian Commercial Banking objectives.
•    Develop business cases and manage project plans. 
•    Oversee change management efforts, including impact assessments, workflow integration, and stakeholder communication.
•    Monitor project performance through dashboards and reporting, escalating risks and constraints as needed.

 

Regional Business Support & Sales Enablement:

•    Support regional leadership with sales reporting, onboarding, and performance tracking for GTB.
•    Support Salesforce initiatives and adoption. 
•    Analyze scorecard and pipeline data to identify trends, recognize performance, and escalate non-performance issues.
•    Coordinate and prepare content for team meetings and client engagement initiatives.

 

Business Planning & Performance Analysis:

•    Reinforce business planning process, including SWOT analysis, initiative formulation, and forecasting.
•    Review and analyze business cases, proposals, and profit plans to support VP decision-making.
•    Assist in managing authorized FTEs and support HR processes related to staffing and onboarding.


Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:

•    Act as a facilitator among cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and collaboration across initiatives.
•    Develop and manage internal/external communications in parallel with National Office (NO), that reinforce strategic priorities and position Scotiabank as the bank of choice for business clients.
•    Coordinate executive visits, client appreciation events, and regional communications in partnership with NO teams.

 

Operational Excellence & Risk Management:

•    Implement strong data governance practices to ensure accuracy in reporting and decision-making.
•    Champion a high-performance and inclusive work environment, contributing to team engagement and effectiveness.

 

Education/Experience/Other Information:

 

Education:


•    Bachelor’s degree required
•    PMP certification strongly preferred
•    Minimum 5+ years of experience in strategic project delivery, business planning, or regional support role

 

Experience: 

 

•    Strong knowledge of project management methodologies
•    Understanding of Global Transaction Banking and Commercial Banking operations
•    Advanced analytical skills with experience in sales reporting, financial metrics, and business planning
•    Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management capabilities
•    Proven ability to lead under pressure, manage competing priorities, and drive results.
•    Experienced working with Salesforce and other commercial banking tools is an asset

Working Conditions:

 

•    Work in a standard office-based environment in Toronto Ontario; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
