The Senior Manager, Business Deposits Offerings oversees the Deposit P&L for Business Banking in Canada by ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered incompliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
As part of the team responsible for driving significant deposit and market share growth for the Small Business segment, the Senior Manager, Deposits will focus on the development and execution of product strategy for Business Banking. This includes Profit& Loss (P&L) responsibility in order to drive revenue, manage expenses, and monitor product performance and direct decisions to ensure P&L targets are met or exceeded. The incumbent will focus on leveraging advanced analytical skills to assess portfolio trends, conduct flow-of-funds analysis, and perform in-depth competitive benchmarking to better understand Business Banking clients. The role will involve designing robust frameworks for continuous monitoring of the competitive landscape, enabling proactive responses to marketplace innovations. Additionally, the incumbent will contribute to the development of go-to-market strategies for new and enhanced Business Banking products, ensuring these strategies are informed by comprehensive data insights and market intelligence.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Identify and drive strategic initiatives and projects through day-to-day portfolio monitoring, to improve, streamline and enhance the Business Banking deposit portfolio.
- Perform detailed analysis of customer deposit flows and extract, consolidate, and interpret data from multiple internal and external sources to identify portfolio trends, customer behaviors, and market dynamics. Use these insights to support strategic initiatives, product design, and competitive positioning.
- Conduct industry competitive analyses to identify gaps and make recommendations to Senior Management on initiatives to implement, and improve the profitability of the existing Business Banking portfolio
- Develop product-related business cases to support recommendations that are aligned with the Business Banking strategic plan.
- Develop sales strategies/initiatives to meet product growth targets
- Lead the creation of recommendations for process & policy changes to improve the customer/banker experience
- Manage relationship between Business Banking and Global Transaction Banking to ensure roadmap is aligned and priorities are well defined
- Pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.

- University Degree in Business Or Analytics Preferred
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify actionable insights.
- Superior Excel Skills
- Ability to design and implement monitoring frameworks for continuous assessment of product/campaign performance and market dynamics.
- Comfort with financial modeling and scenario analysis to support strategic decision-making.
