The role Sr. Manager, AML/ATF Models and Analytics is responsible for developing and enhancing the Bank's AML/ATF Client risk Rating models. This role contributes to the overall success of the Global Risk Management’s AML/ATF team by creating more accurate client risk rating models that will enhance operating efficiency, and by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives.  Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Design and maintain AML/ATF client risk rating models for the Bank's AML/ATF client risk rating models
  • Perform data mining, innovative statistical, quantitative and qualitative analysis for the design and development of the Bank's AML/ATF Client Risk Rating models
  • Perform research and analysis of applicable methodologies for AML/ATF client risk rating modeling
  • Implement and maintain a rigorous framework of internal controls and comprehensive documentation related to AML/ATF client risk rating modeling
  • Communicate with first and second line of business and other stakeholders and recommend changes to AML/ATF client risk rating models as appropriate
  • Communicate with model users groups to ensure correct usage of models and the model limitations are properly understood
  • Communicate results of analysis and models through documentations to internal/external audiences, and effectively manager the interface with relevant stakeholders including Validation, Audit and Regulators
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, advances in industry best practices and developments in products and applications by vendors
  • Actively pursue innovations for effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct. 
  • Ensure all procedures  and practices are complied with regulatory and internal requirements

 

Experience/Education:

  • Experience with statistical modeling and data science methods
  • Experience programming in Python, R and C++.  Experience with databases such as Oracle or SQL Server
  • AML/ATF experience or analytic knowledge
  • Master’s degree or higher in science, technology, engineering or mathematics
