Contributes to the overall success of the Canadian Banking Operational Excellence and AI (OxAI) team by supporting the successful execution of the Canadian Banking's AI strategy.  The Senior Manager, AI Business Enablement is responsible for partnering with business partners, Technology, Data, Risk, and Enterprise AI teams to identify, prioritize, govern, and deliver AI-enabled opportunities that improve employee and client experiences, strengthen operational effectiveness, and drive measurable business value.

 

The incumbent plays a critical role in translating Canadian Banking priorities into a portfolio of high-impact AI use cases, ensuring initiatives are aligned to business strategy, responsible AI principles, enterprise governance requirements, and operational excellence objectives. The Senior Manager provides support to business partners across AI discovery, business case development, initiative and solution assessment, adoption planning, and benefits realization.

 

The role ensures that all activities are conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, risk requirements, and responsible AI standards and principles.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:  

  • Partner with business partners and stakeholders to assess AI opportunities, define desired outcomes, and determine the business value, feasibility, complexity, risks, and readiness of potential solutions.
  • Analyze current-state and future-state processes to identify automation, optimization, and AI opportunities
  • Develop and maintain an AI business enablement roadmap that supports the Canadian Banking OxAI mandate
  • Support business partners with the development of business cases, initiative assessments, success measures, KPIs, adoption indicators
  • Track initiative progress and outcomes and provide leadership with clear reporting through established governance forums and reporting
  • Partner with Risk, Compliance, Privacy, Legal, Technology, Data, and Model Risk Management teams to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with AI-enabled solutions
  • Support with the preparation of governance materials, risk assessments, approvals, and executive reporting to ensure initiative adhere to enterprise policies, regulatory expectations, and responsible AI standards
  • Act as a trusted advisor to business partners on AI opportunities, capabilities, and implementation considerations while championing an innovative and responsible AI culture across Canadian Banking

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role?  We’d love to work with you if you have:    

  • A University degree, college diploma, or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, business transformation, digital delivery, product management, consulting, or related roles.
  • Experience working in banking, financial services, fintech, or other highly regulated industries preferred.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of banking operations, client experience, employee enablement, risk management, and operational transformation
  • Experience supporting AI, Generative AI, advanced analytics, machine learning, digital transformation, automation, or data-driven initiatives is considered an asset.
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams with excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with business partners and stakeholders
  • Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills with the ability to work effectively through ambiguity in a fast-paced and evolving AI environment.
  • Strong planning, organization, and execution skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and initiatives simultaneously.
  • Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills, including the ability to create executive-ready materials.
  • Strong time management and analytical capabilities, detail-oriented and comfortable working through ambiguity in AI-enabled problem spaces

 

Working Conditions

Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
