Purpose
As a key member of the IT&S Finance team, the Senior Financial Analyst supports financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and expense management for multiple Business Lines and Corporate Functions.
Reporting to the Manager, IT&S Finance, this role partners with IT&S teams, Corporate Functions, and Business Line stakeholders to optimize financial resources and support strategic decision‑making, while preparing, analyzing, and interpreting financial data to generate insights and ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulatory requirements.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Handle end to end financial planning process by completing financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting and submission to Finance for the assigned portfolio.
• Manage month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end financial close activities, including preparing accurate accruals, monitoring expenses against budget, reconciling financial statements, ensuring timely invoice processing, and resolving outstanding issues with accounting teams.
• Analyze monthly financial performance and provide clear insights and commentary on key variances.
• Partner with departments to provide financial insights and analysis, enabling data-driven decisions on budget planning, cost reduction activities, and ongoing financial management.
• Support the creation of Monthly CIO decks by consolidating financial results and preparing commentary on historical trends and forward‑looking projections.
• Provide support to senior management in executing financial strategy to meet cost target.
• Engage with IT&S Finance to deliver all financial metrics and queries as required.
• Coordinate with Global Engineering managers to develop FTE and contractor staffing plans and track performance against targets.
• Identifies process improvement opportunities and efficiencies.
• Build and maintain FP&A templates and reporting processes, ensuring high data accuracy and streamlined workflows.
• Provide ad‑hoc analytical support and prepare financial analyses and reports as needed.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
• A recognized degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Working towards CPA/CFA is an asset.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis or analytics, preferably within the banking or technology sector.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills is a must; experience with Power Query and Power BI is desirable.
• Strong financial analysis and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong time‑management abilities, and a track record of delivering accurate results under tight deadlines.
• Proven ability to develop management reports, dashboards, and financial insights for senior leadership.
• Self‑motivated and result-oriented, with the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; a collaborative team player who contributes positively to team success.
