Contributes to the overall success of the Consolidated Reporting function within the Centre of Excellence team in Technology Finance ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships systems and knowledge.
• Contributes to all aspects of the Technology Finance intercompany transactions processes, including processing all intercompany invoice payments and accruals, collecting and maintaining appropriate supporting documentation, and ensuring applicable accounting treatments are applied.
• Supports the validation activities of account balances for Technology transits in the Bank’s enterprise reporting system.
• Assists in development of financial plan and forecasts for selected IT Areas.
• Assists in month-end close, i.e., accrual/payment review, key charges monitoring.
• Assists Senior Manager in the information gathering process and analysis, including ad hoc requests as required.
• Contributes to the maintenance of strong financial governance through implementing best practices. Supports audit requests and the communication of financial policies, guidelines, and Bank practices.
• Contributes to all aspects of the IT&S Finance business case review process and the financial review of key IT contracts.
• Acts as Finance relationship manager for business cases and IT&S project spend; providing financial guidance to IT&S partners, identifying, and communicating financial-related issues (e.g. actual/committed vs. budget/forecast), and obtaining inputs for bottom-up forecasting, planning, and variance analysis.
• Prepares and presents financial data and information in a meaningful, concise and user-friendly manner for IT&S Finance management.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
• Undergraduate degree in relevant field with progress towards a professional designation (e.g. CPA, CFA) or graduate degree
• Knowledge of financial and management reporting principles as applied to banking issues, and an understanding of the business planning process, dealing with accounting systems, budgets and internal controls.
• Ability to multi-task to be able to strive in a continuously changing environment with rigorous deadlines.
• Strong technical skills in MS Excel (MS Excel VBA would be an asset)
• Experience with financial reporting and planning tools (EGL, OBI, Hyperion).
