The Senior Engagement Specialist supports the design, delivery, and measurement of employee engagement programs, events, and communications for Front Line employees. This role develops high-quality content, presentations, and support materials, and provides operational and logistical support for engagement initiatives, helping to foster a positive, inclusive, and client-focused culture. The Senior Engagement Specialist applies event marketing concepts to enhance the effectiveness and reach of engagement activities.


Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:  

 

  • Develops and delivers communications, presentations, and support materials for engagement programs and events, incorporating event marketing principles to maximize impact.
  • Provides operational and logistical support for the implementation and sustainment of engagement initiatives (e.g., townhalls, conferences, recognition ceremonies, roadshows).
  • Creates promotional content and assists with event campaigns to drive awareness and participation.
  • Acts as a resource for employees, responding to queries, gathering feedback, and escalating issues as needed.
  • Synthesizes feedback from Pulse surveys, event Q&A, and field channels into concise reports and recommendations.
  • Monitors engagement outcomes and adoption rates, reporting insights to the Manager and Senior Manager.
  • Collaborates with team members and business partners to ensure alignment and consistency in engagement support and messaging.
  • Pursues effective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, ensuring adherence to business controls and compliance requirements.
  • Supports engagement initiatives across Canada.
  • Works with internal business partners and stakeholders.
  • Utilizes Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, AI tools, and multimedia/content design software.


Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Degree or diploma in Communications, Business, HR or related field preferred.
  • 2–4 years’ experience in employee engagement, communications, event support, or event marketing, preferably in financial services.
  • Demonstrated experience developing content, presentations, and promotional materials.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience supporting operational or engagement initiatives.
  • Working knowledge of Retail Branch and Contact Centre performance measures.
    Bilingual (French, Spanish) considered an asset, but not required
