Title:  Senior Development Manager

Requisition ID: 251705

Join a purpose driven winning team, committed to results, in an inclusive and high-performing culture.

We’re seeking a Senior Manager of Application IT Delivery to lead a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering secure, reliable, and compliant application change across a critical banking platform. You will own the end-to-end delivery of lights-on enhancements (Run-the-Bank), vulnerability remediation (with a strong focus on open-source components), technology currency/evergreening (patching, EOL upgrades), and audit/issue management (SOX, internal audit, regulators). This role requires people leadership, disciplined delivery management, and an unwavering commitment to operational stability in a regulated environment.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Lead engineers, BAs, and SREs; build a culture of accountability, inclusion, psychological safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive capacity planning, workforce strategy, and succession planning; balance RTB (run-the-bank) with change-the-bank priorities.
  • Set clear objectives and KPIs for velocity, quality, risk reduction, and customer satisfaction.
  • Own the demand intake, grooming, and prioritization for small/medium enhancements and defect fixes across business-critical applications.
  • Govern release planning, change management, and deployment readiness (CAB/ECAB) aligned with ITSM processes.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery through robust requirements, testing (unit/integration/UAT), and controlled releases in production.
  • Lead remediation of vulnerabilities (SCA/SAST/DAST) with SLAs aligned to bank policy and regulatory expectations.
  • Govern open-source usage via SBOM, license compliance, and patching cadence; drive adoption of automated security controls in CI/CD.
  • Partner with Cybersecurity, Risk, and Architecture to implement secure-by-design standards and threat mitigation patterns.
  • Own technology currency roadmaps (runtime/middleware/OS/DB upgrades, EOL/EOSL remediation) and evergreen strategy.
  • Drive patching compliance, technical debt reduction, and dependency management with minimal customer impact.
  • Maintain product/service health indicators (SLO/SLI/SLA), observability, and capacity planning.
  • Manage internal/external audit findings and regulatory commitments end-to-end (evidence, remediation, validation, sustainability).
  • Ensure rigorous change controls, segregation of duties, and SOX/PCI/Privacy alignment as applicable.
  • Maintain strong documentation, traceability, and defensible controls posture.
  • Partner with line-of-business leaders, Product Owners, Ops, and Risk to align priorities and drive outcomes.
  • Manage vendor delivery and performance (SLAs/OLAs), including SOWs for managed services and third-party components.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • 8+ years in Application Delivery/Engineering; 3+ years leading teams or managers in a regulated environment (preferably banking/financial services).
  • Exceptional coaching, feedback, and performance management;
  • Executive-ready communication; skilled at influencing across Technology, Risk, and Business.
  • Mastery of SDLC and change management in enterprise settings (ITIL v4, CAB, release governance).
  • Strong Agile/Lean delivery exposure (Scrum/Kanban) with pragmatic use of metrics: throughput, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR.
  • Solid test strategy leadership (shift-left testing, automation coverage, non-functional testing).
  • Hands-on experience with SAST/DAST/SCA tools (e.g., SonarQube, Fortify, Checkmarx, Veracode, Whitesource/Snyk).
  • Deep familiarity with CVEs, CVSS scoring, SBOM, and license compliance; ability to triage and drive sustainable remediation.
  • Practical understanding of secure coding, secrets management, and least-privilege access patterns.
  • Proven delivery of patching, EOL upgrades, and dependency modernization across distributed systems (Linux/Windows, Java/.NET, containers).
  • Exposure to cloud and on-prem hybrid environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift, CI/CD pipelines, artifacts registries).
  • Understanding of reliability engineering (SRE), observability (logs/metrics/traces), capacity/performance tuning.
  • Demonstrated success closing audit findings and MRAs/MRIs with durable, control-based solutions.
  • Familiar with SOX, change control, data privacy, and third-party risk management in a bank.
