The Team

The Centralized Market Data team is responsible for delivering financial market data (e.g., Equities, Fixed Income) to trading and risk management solutions within the Bank. The successful candidate will join a highly skilled group focused on extracting, integrating, and optimizing financial data feeds for the Asset Control Platform

The Role

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Capital Markets & Reference Data Business Analyst with deep capital markets and market data expertise to support strategic initiatives by bridging complex business requirements with robust technical solutions. This role plays a critical part in the delivery and evolution of business‑critical market and reference data platforms that underpin trading, risk, regulatory, and analytics functions.

The successful candidate will bring strong domain knowledge across asset classes and market data vendors, combined with proven experience collaborating with technology teams, business stakeholders, and external data providers to deliver high‑quality, scalable, and compliant data solutions.

 Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to drive the delivery of market and reference data solutions.
  • Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of business and functional requirements for market data, reference data, and instrument onboarding initiatives.
  • Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements and user stories that enable efficient technical design and delivery.
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of requirements and alignment with business intent.
  • Provide subject‑matter expertise on capital markets data, including security and instrument reference data, symbology, and vendor‑sourced market data.
  • Support the analysis and integration of data from vendors such as Bloomberg and LSEG, ensuring correct usage, mappings, and controls are applied.
  • Identify and drive process improvements across data sourcing, enrichment, quality control, and distribution workflows.
  • Support testing, validation, and issue resolution to ensure the delivery of high‑quality, reliable, and compliant data management solutions.
  • Partner with data governance and control teams to support data quality, lineage, and regulatory requirements.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:

 

  • Extensive experience as a Business Analyst in a capital markets or financial services technology environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of market and reference data, including industry standard identifiers such as CUSIP, ISIN, FIGI, and their lifecycle usage.
  • Demonstrated understanding of multiple asset classes (e.g. Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives) and their associated static and market data attributes.
  • Hands‑on experience working with major market data vendors such as Bloomberg and LSEG.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders, developers, and vendors in complex delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into clear requirements.
  • Experience supporting data‑driven platforms subject to regulatory, risk, and operational controls.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with security master, asset control, or enterprise reference data platforms.
  • Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
  • Prior experience contributing to large‑scale market or reference data transformation initiatives.
