The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for leading small to medium scale operational projects on behalf of Global Wealth Management. This role will provide support to existing and future systems / applications, as well as net new projects, defining application, system, and process requirements for solutions to business needs, and identifying and implementing improvements, and providing resolution management of production issues.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Conduct/lead and document Business Requirements sessions
  • Investigate, analyze, and prepare business requirements documents in consultation with both the businesses and key internal stakeholders, and guide development efforts with technology teams
  • Analyze and document existing processes and multiple system workflows and procedures while identifying areas of opportunities for improvements
  • Define system application requirements for modifications to existing processes, or the creation of new applications and/or processes
  • Manage and communicate accountabilities and milestones of core project teams
  • Prepare test cases, execute, and manage User Acceptance Testing and Implementation Plans
  • Document and/or coordinate training materials, operational change management and front office communications
  • Act as subject matter expert for Wealth Management systems and provide consultation services on larger scale projects
  • Support existing department processes such as monthly reporting and Service Centre call tracking tool maintenance

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • University degree in Business preferred
  • 5+ years of work experience in an Operations/Wealth or Project related work
  • Project Management or Business Analysis experience is required
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office, Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional is required
  • Working knowledge of MS Access and visualizing tools such as PowerBi is an asset
  • Knowledge of Wealth Applications is preferred
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to write clearly and concisely and to speak confidently with various senior leaders
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand various elements of operations
  • Strong strategic thinking capability to think creatively, problem solve and multi-task
  • The ability to work independently and to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • The ability to work effectively in a group environment across various operations, front office and functional areas
  • Strong relationship management skills to build and maintain relationships across various internal/external stakeholders
