The Global Identity & Access Management (GIAM), Engineering team is responsible for the integration of our established security controls pertaining to Identity and Access.

The IAM Senior Associate Application and Infrastructure Operations role is responsible for ensuring robust security and effective access control within the organization. In this role, you will support the implementation and maintenance of (IAM) processes, upholding compliance with security policies, and resolving access-related issues. Key responsibilities include overseeing code deployments outside regular business hours, serving as the primary escalation contact during pager duty, and collaborating with multiple teams to facilitate secure and efficient access to resources.

 

Is this role right for you? In this Role, you will:

 

  • Identity and Access Management (IAM) Operations: Support the lifecycle of user identities and access permissions by assisting with the creation, modification, and deactivation of accounts. Apply and follow role-based access control (RBAC) policies and help implement secure authentication protocols to ensure users have appropriate access across systems.
  • Access Monitoring and Security Auditing: Participate in regular reviews and audits of user access to applications, infrastructure, and data, helping to identify anomalies and potential security risks. Assist with investigations into access-related incidents and work with cybersecurity teams to support timely resolution.
  • Compliance and Policy Enforcement: Follow internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices related to IAM in daily work. Contribute to the implementation and adherence of governance policies and standards across the infrastructure environment by following established procedures and reporting any concerns or gaps.
  • Technical Support and Issue Resolution: Provide support for access-related issues, escalating complex IAM problems as needed. Work with cross-functional IT teams to troubleshoot and help resolve technical challenges affecting user access and system integrity.
  • System Administration and Infrastructure Enhancement: Carry out the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of IAM systems and infrastructure components under guidance. Support the implementation of new features and updates through the organization's CI/CD pipeline, ensuring changes align with operational objectives and minimize disruption.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management: Maintain accurate documentation of IAM processes, access control configurations, system changes, and operational procedures as assigned. Ensure documentation is kept up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders for audit and training needs.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration and End-User Enablement: Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and cybersecurity teams to support the integration of access controls into enterprise systems. Provide training and guidance to end-users and technical teams on IAM protocols, tools, and best practices to encourage secure and efficient access management.

 

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have: 

 

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience supporting IAM systems and access control processes in enterprise environments.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-grade IAM tools such as SailPoint IdentityIQ, Active Directory, LDAP, and Privileged Access Management (PAM) solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in software development or scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Java) to support IAM automation, integration, and customization efforts.
  • Familiarity with security standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

 

Nice to Haves:

 

  • Industry certifications in IAM (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CIAM) would be an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience in software development or scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Java) to support IAM automation, integration, and customization efforts.
  • Fluency in Spanish is considered an asset
  • Working knowledge of various Cloud platforms
