Title: Senior Analyst. GBM&T Global Central Compliance (Contract until March 2028)

The Senior Analyst, GBM&T Global Central Compliance contributes to the overall success of the GBM&T Global Central Compliance program by supporting the Senior Manager, Risk Assessment and Regulatory Obligations in executing on key global Risk Assessment (i.e. NIRA, TPRM, CRCA), Issues Management and Regulatory Obligations programs (i.e. Triennial review) for GBM&T, as required. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures, and support GBM&T’s overall strategies.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Supports the independent execution of GBM&T’s New Initiative Risk Assessment (NIRA) and Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) processes, ensuring established workflows are followed and that timely assessments are received from impacted jurisdictions in accordance with enterprise SLAs. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring records of received risk assessments kept accurate and up to date, preparing monthly and ad-hoc NIRA reporting for regional teams and ensuring any identified assessment delays are escalated in a timely manner to the Senior Manager and resolved.
- Supports other key risk assessment processes for GBM&T, including the global Compliance Risk and Control Assessment (CRCA), as required.
- Supports GBM&T’s regulatory compliance monthly Issues Management reporting and other KRIs. Accountable for accurately and independently identifying the population of in-scope GBM&T issues for reporting, liaising with regional stakeholders for timely updates and creating the monthly reporting materials for Senior Manager review.
- Supports the monthly Compliance Issues Management Oversight activities for GBM&T. Accountable for identifying the population of GBM&T issues in breach of Global Issues Management (GIMS) policy and coordinating with regional stakeholders to resolve the identified breaches on a timely basis.
- Supports the execution of GBM&T’s Triennial Review of regulatory obligations to confirm their completeness, accuracy, alignment with applicable controls, and appropriate mapping of business units to requirements and controls. Responsible for independently executing Triennial Reviews in accordance with the Regulatory Obligations Operating Procedures (ROOP), Regulatory Library Validation procedures, established checklists, and AI-enabled tools; validating the completeness and accuracy of requirements, controls, and business unit mappings to regulatory obligations; maintaining audit-ready records of review completion; monitoring progress against established review targets; and ensuring timely completion of assigned reviews.
- Supports the ongoing execution of a quarterly, annual and ad-hoc Regulatory Library oversight initiatives for GBM&T. Supports the execution of a globally aligned approach in GBM&T for Regulatory Library and Regulatory Change Management activities in collaboration with Enterprise Compliance, the regional Compliance teams, and other stakeholders, as required.
- Supports the broader GBM&T Central Compliance team with ad-hoc initiatives and requests to address immediate and shifting priorities, as required
- Champions an automation and AI-enabled approach to daily tasks and workflows. Continually suggests and implements improvements to processes/workflows through AI-enabled tools.
- Key player in the ongoing operation of GBM&T Compliance’s global operations to facilitate the evolution of the Program into an efficient, effective, and globally consistent compliance program.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have:
- University Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics or related field.
- Previous experience supporting GBM&T in a Compliance or similar role at a major financial institution. Direct experience supporting risk assessment, issues management, and regulatory obligations programs/processes in that role, would be considered an asset.
- Proven track record of working with Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools, engineering and executing AI prompts in a professional environment to enhance the efficiency of programs.
- Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, with the proven ability to influence without direct authority.
- Ability to be a team-player and contribute to a cohesive team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to execute processes independently with supporting documentation/procedures, with minimal support/direction.
- Ability to learn complex processes quickly, adapt, and remain resilient in a fast paced, dynamic and challenging work environment
- An enquiring mind, sound judgement and strong organizational/recordkeeping skills
- Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
- AI-tool expertise – experience with Microsoft Copilot, creating agents to automate workflows and processes, would be considered an asset.
- Strong PowerBI skills, would be considered an asset.
- Previous experience working with IBM OpenPages, would be considered an asset.
