The Senior Analyst, Regulatory Standards contributes to the overall success of the Regulatory Standards & Implementations team by facilitating, preparing, and curating key policy standards related to Canadian AML Enterprise and Policy documentation. This role primarily supports the AML/ATF and Sanctions Program for Canadian Banking (CB), Global Wealth Management (GWM) (Canada), Global Banking Markets (GBM), Global Transactions Banking (GTB), Corporate/Support Functions (including Global AML and others), and International Banking (IB).
The Regulatory Standards & Implementations team is responsible for driving regulatory change management, executing and delivering critical initiatives due to changes in the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and associated regulations, and coordinating stakeholder feedback for the maintenance of Enterprise Standards.
Reporting to the Director, Regulatory Standards & Implementations, the Senior Analyst will support stakeholder outreach, artifact preparation and standardization, and repository maintenance to ensure adherence to the Bank’s Canadian AML and Enterprise policies. This role also involves ongoing maintenance and business as usual activities as it relates to the team’s day-to-day efforts, including but not limited to the maintenance of documents, supporting metrics, and reporting.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

Support Enterprise Standards initiatives within cross-functional teams.

Execute document preparation, maintenance, and formatting in accordance with internal repository expectations.

Communicate and collaborate with business lines, operational units, and other First and Second Line AML stakeholders.

Ensure all deliverables are completed within negotiated timeframes and established department guidelines and protocols, escalating as necessary.

Maintain proper records and audit trails of stakeholder outreach, action plans, and document version history activities within the team’s Shared Drive, SharePoint site, and applicable repositories.

Maintain ongoing processes related to reporting and metrics.

Support ongoing team and collaborative stakeholder meetings, including preparing agendas, drafting meeting minutes, and identifying and tracking action items.

Develop and maintain a sound knowledge and understanding of the Bank’s AML policies and procedures, the Proceeds of Crime Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and Regulations (PCMLTFR), and industry best practices.

Contribute to a positive risk culture and ensure day-to-day activities and decisions align with the Bank’s risk appetite.

Perform other supporting and/or ad-hoc tasks and activities as needed.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed? We’d love to work with you if you have experience with:

Post-secondary education and/or related work experience with a minimum of 1-2 years in a related field (e.g., AML, Compliance, Audit).

Understanding of Canadian AML/ATF and Sanctions regulatory requirements, including the Proceeds of Crime Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Act (PCMLTFA) and Regulations (PCMLTFR), Designated Persons Listings and Sanctions Laws, and FINTRAC Guidelines.

Understanding of AML/ATF and Sanctions risks related to the Bank’s business lines, geographies, client types, products, services, transactions, etc.

Demonstrated integrity when working with colleagues by setting an example of required behaviors.

Excellent teamwork, interpersonal (written and verbal communication), and proactive skills to build cross-functional business relationships and trust among all internal and external stakeholders.

Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience in reporting (Power BI) and/or data analytics is an asset.

Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) designation is an asset.
