The Senior Analyst, Global Technology Finance Strategy & Insights acts as a key support in delivering high-impact strategic, analytical, and executive communication support to the VP & CFO, Global Technology.
This role acts as a key partner in synthesizing complex financial and operational information across a ~$6B Global Technology spend portfolio, translating it into clear insights and executive-ready materials. This individual will be critical in enabling decision-making, driving alignment across stakeholders, and supporting the overall operating rhythm of the Global Technology CFO function.
Is this role right for you? In this role you will:
- Develop executive-ready presentations and briefing materials, translating complex financial and strategic information into clear, concise narratives
- Support cross-functional initiatives and special projects aligned to VP & CFO priorities, driving alignment, clarity, and execution
- Contribute to the annual planning cycle across Global Technology, consolidating inputs and transforming data into insights for executive review:
- Collect, validate, and consolidate data from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Coordinate timelines and deliverables across teams to support executive and governance reporting
- Track key milestones, proactively follow up with stakeholders, and ensure adherence to timelines
- Act as a central point of coordination for Technology spend, maintaining alignment and a single source of truth
- Analyze Technology spend, planning inputs, and financial performance across a multi-billion-dollar portfolio to identify trends, risks, and optimization opportunities
- Deliver clear, actionable insights and recommendations to support senior leadership decision-making
- Support the VP & CFO on ad-hoc strategic requests, including analysis, synthesis of insights, and development of executive-level materials
- Partner with Directors and senior stakeholders to develop presentations for strategic initiatives, including organizational design and transformation
- Build and maintain strong relationships across Finance, Technology, and business teams to enable effective collaboration and delivery
- Promote efficient and effective operations aligned with Scotiabank values, Code of Conduct, and Global Sales Principles, while ensuring strong adherence to operational, compliance, AML/ATF, sanctions, and conduct risk requirements
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- 1–3 years of experience in finance, strategy, consulting, or a related analytical role
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field
- Strong financial analysis and data interpretation skills
- Exceptional PowerPoint and storytelling capabilities, with experience preparing executive-level presentations
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and strong data management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly
- Highly organized with strong project management and coordination skills, able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality deliverables
- Proactive, self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience supporting senior stakeholders is an asset
