Job Purpose:

As part of the Enterprise AML Risk Assessment function within the FCRM Program Governance Office (PGO) team, the Senior Analyst, Enterprise AML Risk Assessment Program supports the design, maintenance and execution of Enterprise AML/ATF and Sanctions Risk Assessments. The Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution of both the Enterprise ML/TF Risk Assessment (EMRA) and Enterprise Sanctions Risk Assessment (ESRA) and the Inherent Regulatory Risk Assessment (IRRA) by providing support to the Manager, AML Enterprise Risk Assessment Program on Quality Assurance, Training, System Configuration and Reporting activities. The Senior Analyst will work closely with stakeholder groups within Business Line AML teams and Global Sanctions and the FCRM Technology team to provide support with respect to the risk assessment methodology, related system and tools, procedural and guidance documentation. Additionally, the Senior Analyst will support the other risk assessment areas that include Geographic, Industry, Occupation, Product risk ratings, and New Initiatives AML and Sanctions risk assessment on an as-needed basis.

 

Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:

  •  Supports the operationalization of quality assurance processes by completing quality assurance assessments, documenting quality assurance observations, and supporting the completion of other quality assurance relating activities (including, but not limited to, sample selection and reporting) under the direction of the Manager, Risk Assessment.
  • Supports training delivery by assisting with training material creation in both English and Spanish across all mediums such as but not limited to Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Video (Snagit, Camtasia), and supporting the delivery of training in both English and Spanish to learners from multiple business lines under the direction of the Manager, AML Enterprise Risk Assessment Program.
  • Supports the Enterprise AML Risk Assessment team with the documentation and maintenance of the enterprise AML/ATF and Sanctions Risk Assessment methodology and Inherent Regulatory Risk Assessment Methodology, and related tools, procedural and guidance documentation under the direction of the Manager, AML Enterprise Risk Assessment Program.
  • Supports the Manager, AML Enterprise Risk Assessment Program on the configuration of the Deloitte Enterprise Risk Assessment (DERA) application including configuration of Inherent Risk Surveys, Program Effectiveness Surveys, Assessable Units, Weights, and Thresholds as required.
  • Supports the Manager, AML Enterprise Risk Assessment Program on the configuration of the Inherent Regulatory Risk Assessment Tool including configuration of Surveys, Countries, Weights, and Thresholds as required.
  • Supports the execution of the enterprise AML/ATF and Sanctions Risk Assessment and Inherent Regulatory Risk Assessment across all dimensions within applicable applications under the direction of the Manager, AML Enterprise Risk Assessment Program.
  •  Support the Geographic, Industry, Occupation, Product risk ratings and supporting documentation, as needed, including periodic updates based on information received from the Bank’s various Data Sources.
  • Responsible for generation and dissemination of both ad-hoc and scheduled reporting deliverables related to Risk Assessment. Including but not limited to status reporting, operational reporting, management reporting and thematic reports as required. Support the AML Enterprise Risk Assessment Program reporting infrastructure as required (Power Bi, Python, SQL).
  • Stays abreast of emerging regulatory enforcement guidance and regulation in Canada and globally to identify developments that may have an impact on risk assessment methodologies.
  • Additional accountabilities as required.

  • Preferred exposure to control environment in AML or risk management, compliance, or audit
  • Working knowledge of AML environment
  • Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Spanish considered an asset)
  • 3+ years related AML or risk management, compliance, or audit experience
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with diverse business and technical stakeholder
  • groups
  • Strong Power BI, SharePoint, Microsoft Excel, and Data Analysis skills with demonstrated
  • competency
  • 2+ years experience developing and/or analyzing reporting considered an asset
  • ACAMS designation or equivalent preferred
