Purpose

 

As part of the Enterprise AML Risk Assessment function within the AML Risk Global Policy and Standards team, the Senior Analyst, Enterprise AML Risk Assessment Program supports the execution of the Enterprise AML/ATF and Sanctions Risk Assessment for multiple business line assessable units across the Bank’s geographic footprint. The Senior Analyst is responsible for supporting the execution of the Risk Assessment and conducting quality assurance to ensure adherence of the enterprise standards and methodology.  Additionally, the Senior Analyst will work closely with stakeholder groups within Business Line AML teams and Global Sanctions and the FCRM Technology team to  provide support with respect to the risk assessment methodology, related system and tools, procedural and guidance documentation.
 

Key Accountabilities 

  • Supports the Enterprise AML Risk Assessment team with the documentation and maintenance of the enterprise AML/ATF and Sanctions Risk Assessment methodology, and related tools, procedural and guidance documentation under the direction of the Manager, Risk Assessment. 
  • Supports the execution of the enterprise AML/ATF and Sanctions Risk Assessment across all assessable units and business lines through the risk assessment tool under the direction of the Manager, Risk Assessment.
  • Supports quality assurance activities on inherent and program effectiveness surveys completed by the business line assessable units using a risk-based approach in order to ensure adherence to enterprise standards and the AML/ATF and Sanctions Risk Assessment methodology under the direction of the Manager, Risk Assessment.
  • Responsible for generation and dissemination of both ad-hoc and scheduled reporting deliverables related to the Risk Assessment. Including but not limited to status reporting, operational reporting, management reporting and thematic reports as required. 
  • Responsible for the management of Enterprise Risk Assessment existing technology stack, including but not limited to SQL Server Database and Power BI. 
  • Provides 1st level support for relationship between FCRM Technology team and Global Policy & Standards related to requests for updates to Enterprise Risk Assessment Tools.  Ensure user access requests and updates to the risk assessment tool are addressed in a timely manner in accordance with program expectations.
  • Supports Senior Manager, Risk Assessment on the alignment relating to the mapping of control ownership between the enterprise centralized control units and Business Line AML teams as part of completing the program effectiveness assessment.
  • Stays abreast of emerging regulation in Canada and globally to identify developments and trends that may have an impact on risk assessment methodologies.
  • Maintains awareness of regulatory expectations and global industry standards with respect to risk identification and assessment.
     

 

Experience / Edcuaiton:

 

  • 2+ years related AML or risk management, compliance, or audit experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business and technical stakeholder groups
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, Power BI, and Microsoft Power Platform. 
  • Advanced degree or technical certification in Management Information Systems, 
  • ACAMS designation or equivalent preferred.
  • Preferred exposure to control environment in AML or risk management, compliance, or audit
  • Working knowledge of AML environment. 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder and program/project management skills
