Title:  Senior Analyst, Business Management AML Risk

The Senior Analyst provides operational and logistical support to the Financial Crimes Risk Management units. Contributes to the overall success of the FCRM by executing / delivering support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.



  • Provide support for all activities associated with onboarding new employees and supporting existing employees with any system related issues
  • Oversee onboarding for permanent staff as well as contractors and external vendors
  • Installing/relocating and maintaining an inventory of hardware , LAN set-ups (e.g. Network ID, VPN access, internet access, software installations)
  • Ordering hardware including laptops, mice and headphones as well as additional software
  • Ensuring system access is revoked and all hardware accounted for upon staff termination/resignation
  • Preparing hardware prior to new employee’s arrival
  • Setting up laptop with Scotia Wi-Fi and Outlook before handing it over
  • Arranging/coordinating phone set-ups on Lync and requesting VPN
  • Requesting/setting up corporate cell phones
  • Assist users with Wi-Fi connectivity issues
  • Provide system access and folder access to staff members
  • Submit requests to re-activate profiles that are closed prematurely
  • Create and update the Welcome Package for new hires.
  • Providing orientation for all new hires on core applications (MS Outlook, Internet Explorer, Lync etc.)
  • Create Standard Operating Procedures for onboarding/offboarding processes
  • Provide technical support to all FCRM employees 
  • Identifying/solving simple hardware problems (i.e. printing) and software problems that are unique to the specific operation
  • Troubleshooting hardware/software problems with users following the problem recovery/escalation procedures
  • Investigating and escalating system problems ensuring resolution, liaising with appropriate Bank Department as required
  • Maintaining/upgrading knowledge of the systems and associated software
  • Assisting users in the application of software/techniques for their needs
  • Local Area Administrator for all of FCRM, granting folder access


Requirements & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of LAN/PC Operations & Applications
  • Expert organizational skills, time management and ability to set priorities
  • Advanced communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • High degree of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Proactive and flexible to work in changing environment
  • Excellent PC skills – Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Visio
  • Post-Secondary (College and/or University)
