As a Portfolio Manager, you ensure the successful delivery of complex projects that involve multiple teams working on deliverables contributing to an overarching project objective. You report status and ensure alignment between many stakeholders across multiple areas of the bank and manage all aspects of the budget, schedule, risks, issues, reporting and governance of projects
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:
- Manage and ensure the successful delivery of complex projects/programs involving multiple teams, as well as external vendors when required
- Demonstrate strong leadership skills to develop and maintain high functioning project teams
- Influences business project decisions with direct impact on financials or operating results
- Takes a strategic focus aligned to business priorities
- Integrate inputs from many stakeholders to establish and manage a consolidated scope, schedule, and budget for the program.
- Track and manage project risks, issues, action items and key decisions across the program.
- Ensure all teams are aligned and that the dependencies between teams are tracked and managed.
- Ensure risks are mitigated and that teams are unblocked and can effectively complete their work.
- Escalate risks and issues that cannot be solved with the project team.
- Build and maintain solid, professional working relationships with peers within the project team and business lines. Leverage these relationships to identify issues, make recommendations and initiation resolution.
- Impacts the technical direction and resource allocation for products, services or platforms supported.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- 5-7 years of experience as a Senior Project Manager or Program Manager, managing large complex projects/programs that have significant IT and operational components, preferably in the financial services industry
- Agile and waterfall project management experience.
- Experience leading multi year, high complex, regulatory programs.
- Experience managing records information management program.
- Experience leading large consulting engagements.
- Excellent track record managing projects/programs of higher complexity, high risk and large budgets (up to $50 Million+) dealing with multiple stakeholders
- Strong analytical & communication (verbal/written/presentation). Mature interpersonal skills with the ability to work with, and influence, all types of professionals
- Knowledge of project management tools and techniques (e.g., CA PPM, MS Projects, JIRA, Visio, Agile/Scrum, Waterfall etc.)
- Working knowledge of Identity & Access Management, Information & Cyber Security
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
- Must Haves: PMP certification, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- Nice to Haves: Scrum Master certification (CSM), Professional ScrumMaster certification (PSM) and/or master’s degree (MBA).
