INTRODUCTION
We’re looking for a Lead Investment Advisor to join the Foundations Team, supporting foundation relationships across Canada through thoughtful investment advice, strong service, and a client-first approach. In this role, you’ll help onboard foundation clients, ensure investment strategies are aligned to their objectives, and work closely with internal partners to deliver a seamless experience.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Provide a high level of service to foundation clients by responding to inquiries, processing requests, and ensuring documentation is completed accurately and on time.
- Deliver sound investment advice aligned to each foundation’s objectives, risk profile, and regulatory requirements.
- Support the onboarding of new foundation relationships and maintain strong ongoing relationships with clients, trading authorities, donors, and internal partners.
- Identify opportunities to deepen relationships, grow assets, and connect clients with appropriate Scotia partners.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment by sharing knowledge, supporting colleagues, and helping maintain a strong client service culture.
DO YOU HAVE THE SKILLS?
- Licensed as a Registered Representative under CIRO, with 5–7 years of experience in a sales, relationship management, investment advisory, or account management role.
- Strong understanding of investment advice, client service, account administration, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships with clients and internal partners while managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- Experience with financial planning, professional designations such as CFP, insurance licensing, university education, or advanced French language skills would be considered an asset.
