The Role
The Salesforce Technical Analyst acts as the technical bridge between business stakeholders, Salesforce engineering teams, and enterprise architecture. This role requires strong analytical skills, deep Salesforce platform expertise, and the ability to translate complex business and technical needs into scalable Salesforce solutions. You will support multiple Applications within Salesforce, analyze system behavior, troubleshoot issues, document solution approaches, and guide delivery teams through design, sizing, and implementation.

Salesforce Platform & Solution Support
- Provide technical support across multiple Salesforce orgs, helping triage and resolve issues, identify root causes, and propose scalable fixes.
- Assess and articulate user needs with an informed understanding of Salesforce business systems and financial services use cases.
- Evaluate configuration and capability impacts across:

- Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Financial Services Cloud
- CPQ and quoting workflows
- OWDs, roles, profiles, permission sets, sharing rules
- Automation (Flows, Approvals, Validation Rules)
- Data integrations, APIs, and dependent systems
- Work with business partners, SMEs, architects, and engineers to understand functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Produce high‑quality documentation including BRDs, technical requirements, solution outlines, use cases, process models, and external design documents.
- Analyze data structures, system behavior, and cross‑cloud workflows to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities.
- Translate complex business needs into feasible technical specifications for developers and integration teams.
Cross‑Functional Delivery & Governance
- Collaborate with solution architects to create technical design artifacts, diagrams, and environment‑specific considerations.
- Participate in application walkthroughs, demos, and design reviews throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure requirements are complete and accurate to support sizing, development effort estimation, and downstream SDLC documents.
- Ensure alignment with Scotiabank’s risk and compliance obligations, including operational, conduct, AML/ATF, and data governance guidelines.
Data, Reporting & Validation
- Conduct data discovery across integrated systems, understanding schemas, lineage, and upstream/downstream impacts.
- Use SOQL and SQL for validation, data profiling, troubleshooting, and supporting root‑cause analysis.
- Partner with data and reporting teams to ensure accuracy, correctness, and integrity of Salesforce‑sourced data.
Testing, Deployment & Release Support
- Create UAT test plans, scenarios, and acceptance criteria; support execution and defect triage.
- Validate solutions across environments (IST/UAT/PRD) and confirm alignment with requirements and platform standards.
- Contribute to release readiness, change management activities, and business enablement.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- 6–8+ years in Business/Technical Analysis roles with 3+ years in Salesforce.
- Experience supporting multi‑cloud Salesforce environments (Sales, Service, FS Cloud, CPQ).
- Strong understanding of Salesforce configuration, data model, security architecture, and automation tools.
- Ability to produce detailed technical documentation, solution requirements, and process models.
- Proficiency with SOQL/SQL for data validation and troubleshooting.
- Experience participating in Agile delivery teams.
Nice‑to‑Have
- Salesforce Admin / BA / App Builder certifications.
- Experience with DocuSign integrations, Pricing Tools, or CRM workflows in financial institutions.
- Experience engaging with enterprise architects and senior engineering leaders.
