Purpose: Contributes to the overall success of the Scotia Financial Planning team in Canada ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.
The Sales Support Specialist is responsible to support the execution of the Scotia Financial Planning Team sales strategy and provide exceptional service to the distribution channel in driving mutual fund acquisitions.
The sales support specialist is responsible to provide subject matter expertise on various investment platforms/systems, processes, and products through day-to-day support outreach and facilitation engagements. The incumbent is also responsible to contribute to a dynamic sales support operation, effectively manage cross-functional partnerships, and provide sales support insights to the team lead.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We’d love to work with you if you have:
- University degree in business or a related field, or equivalent working experience
- Professional oriented designation (CSC/CFP/PFP) is an asset
- Expert understanding of the end-to-end investment sales process, including the interconnectivity of people, product, process, and technology.
- Thorough understanding of the various sales tools/systems (e.g., Scotia Smart Investor, IP, Salesforce, Morningstar, etc.) and support departments (e.g., Investment Support, etc.) at Scotiabank.
- Excellent communication, presentation (Onboarding Program, Skill-Builders, etc.), (written, verbal and listening) and interpersonal skills.
- Solid problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to influence effective resolution of issues/conflicts.
- Outstanding relationship building skills to ensure co-operative working relationships with team members, colleagues, and business partners.
- Sound PC desktop navigation skills (MS Office, Internet, etc.).
- Familiar with competitor products and industry trends.
- Bilingual in English and French
